Newly released air traffic control audio captures the terrifying final moments aboard a private jet before it plunges into a Florida neighborhood, killing all nine people on board.
The pilot declares "Mayday, mayday" as the Learjet rapidly loses altitude, reporting a descent of 20,000 feet per minute. An air traffic controller desperately tries to maintain contact, telling the crew, "I'm here with you. Talk to me."
The jet was traveling from Texas to the Bahamas when the crew reported icing, turbulence and worsening weather conditions.
