A small scoop of styling cream works best when you rub it between your palms first.

Apply it to damp, towel-dried hair, then work from back to front and keep it away from your roots. That even spread helps prevent one patch from getting a heavy coating, which can leave hair sticky or waxy. Start with a pea-sized amount for short hair or a dime-sized amount for medium-length hair. Add more only if needed. A little goes a long way.
