1994... Age 20... I look at this young man... and smile. His aspirations weren't very different from mine today... dreams, some rather outrageous ones... a belief in possibilities, in love, in people and a world without boundaries. And then life happened... took me places I hadn't imagined, introduced me to people I hadn't expected... moments of extraordinary joy, painful lessons, heartbreaks and countless stories. I wandered... changed directions... began things, abandoned some and discovered others.

Did I become everything I imagined I would? No... But did I experience more than that young man could possibly have imagined? Oh yes... And somewhere along those journeys, something was quietly being added to Vikram... in ways I cannot quite explain, let alone measure. Perhaps I haven't travelled the straightest road or reached the destinations others expected of me... but I wouldn't trade the journey for a more impressive résumé.

I still have dreams... desires... and the same curiosity about what tomorrow might bring. Only now, I don't want to miss today while trying to get there. As Osho said... “Be... don't become.”

And here I am...
