PART 5: FILE FOLDING
This was the method I was most curious to try.
I’ve had people recommend it to me, but I’d never actually packed this way before.
The idea is to fold your clothes to a similar size and stand them vertically in your suitcase, almost like books on a shelf. The result? You can see everything at a glance instead of digging through layers of clothes.
And I was honestly surprised by how much I could fit!
My verdict:
📦 Space: Surprisingly efficient. I was able to fit quite a bit!
⏰ Time: Takes longer because you need to fold everything carefully and consistently.
🧳 Organization: Excellent! I loved being able to see all my clothes at once without using packing cubes.
I think this could be a great alternative to packing cubes, especially if you want an organized suitcase without buying anything extra.
Have you tried file folding? I’d love to know if this is your go-to packing method or if you have any tips for getting those folds just right!

This one works best for me cause you can see all your clothes in one glance and decide what to wear,, don’t have to take everything out ❤️

I always pack like this, so easy to find everything you are looking for, nothing over lapping, and you can see your color palette or theme which is dog so satisfying.
