Mentally, I’m already in Paris. 🍂🥐🇫🇷 There’s something about having a trip to look forward to that makes the weeks leading up to it a little more fun. I’ve already started mentally planning the cafés, the walks, the pastries, the little shops…all of it. Thinking about joining my women’s trip to Paris but still have questions? I get it. ❤️ I answered six of the questions I hear most often—from “What if I don’t know anyone?” to “Couldn’t I just plan this myself?” If you’re curious about what a Pack Your Valise trip actually looks like, comment TRIP below and I’ll send you the itinerary + booking information. And if there’s a question I didn’t answer, drop it in the comments. I’m happy to answer! #PackYourValise #WomenWhoTravel #GroupTravel #ParisGirlsTrip #Parisjetaime by @packyourvalise
People acting surprised when I tell them I’m going on another trip is a clear indicator that we haven’t known each other long. And I forgot to add that I’m always down for a walk…a walk around the neighborhood or 10 miles around a European city, I’m your girl 🙋🏼‍♀️ How many of these do we have in common? Tell me in the comments👇🏻 #TravelWithFriends #GirlsTrip #TravelTips #WomenWhoTravel #PackYourValise by @packyourvalise
Same stuff. 1 suitcase. Packed 5 different ways so you don’t have to. ✈️ PART 5: FILE FOLDING This was the method I was most curious to try. I’ve had people recommend it to me, but I’d never actually packed this way before. The idea is to fold your clothes to a similar size and stand them vertically in your suitcase, almost like books on a shelf. The result? You can see everything at a glance instead of digging through layers of clothes. And I was honestly surprised by how much I could fit! My verdict: 📦 Space: Surprisingly efficient. I was able to fit quite a bit! ⏰ Time: Takes longer because you need to fold everything carefully and consistently. 🧳 Organization: Excellent! I loved being able to see all my clothes at once without using packing cubes. I think this could be a great alternative to packing cubes, especially if you want an organized suitcase without buying anything extra. Have you tried file folding? I’d love to know if this is your go-to packing method or if you have any tips for getting those folds just right! Same stuff. 1 suitcase. Packed 5 different ways so you don’t have to. ✈️ PART 4: ROLLING If you want the quickest and easiest way to pack, this one is hard to beat. Just roll your clothes and fit them into your suitcase. Nothing extra organizers, no complicated folding, no fuss. My verdict: 📦 Space: Surprisingly efficient! You can fit quite a bit into your suitcase this way. ⏰ Time: The quickest and easiest method I’ve tried. Definitely a win for anyone who doesn’t enjoy spending time packing. 🧳 Organization: This is where I struggle. Everything feels a little jumbled, and finding a specific item can mean digging around a bit. I can see this being a great option for a quick weekend getaway, especially if you’re packing a carry-on and don’t have a ton of outfits to keep track of. It’s not my personal favorite, but I understand the appeal! Remember, the best packing method isn’t necessarily the same for everyone. It depends on your trip and what matters most to you. Would you choose speed and simplicity over organization? Or would this drive you a little crazy, too? 😂 Comment ROLLING for links to the packing essentials and outfits I’m bringing! #PackingTips #TravelPacking #PackingHacks #CarryOnPacking #WeekendGetaway by @packyourvalise
Same stuff. 1 suitcase. Packed 5 different ways so you don’t have to. ✈️ PART 3: Laying everything flat. The idea is to lay your larger items across the bottom of your suitcase, leaving the ends hanging over the edges. Then layer your smaller items flat on top. Once everything is packed, fold those larger pieces back over the top to finish. I’ve found this to be one of the more space-efficient ways to pack, and laying everything flat will also help minimize wrinkles. My verdict: 📦 Space: An efficient use of suitcase space. ⏰ Time: Fairly quick and straightforward. 🧳 Organization: Not ideal if you’re living out of your suitcase and need to access those bottom layers. I’d recommend this method if you’re unpacking at your destination or if maximizing every inch of suitcase space is your priority. Probably not my first choice for a multi-stop trip! The best packing method really depends on what matters most to you: fitting more in your suitcase, staying organized, or getting packed quickly. We’re halfway through the series…stay tuned for the next two methods! Have you tried this one? Tell me in the comments! 👇 Comment FLAT for links to my packing essentials and outfits I’m bringing! #PackingTips #TravelPacking #SuitcasePacking #PackingMethods #TravelHacks by @packyourvalise
Same stuff. 1 suitcase. Packed 5 different ways so you don’t have to. ✈️ PART 2: VACUUM BAGS If your biggest packing struggle is suitcase space, this method is worth a look. Vacuum bags give the most compression and reduce the space your clothes occupy. Of the five methods I tested, this one was my winner for being most space efficient.🏆 The catch? It took me the longest to pack everything this way. My verdict: 📦 Space: Best for compressing clothing. ⏰ Time: The most time-consuming method. 🧳 Organization: Depends on how you group your clothes into bags. Another note: This method would work especially well for bulky clothing items like sweaters and winter coats. Ski trip anyone?!⛷️ Comment VACUUM for links to packing essentials and outfits I packed! #VacuumBags #PackingHacks #TravelPacking #PackingTips #TravelEssentials by @packyourvalise
Same stuff. 1 suitcase. Packed 5 different ways so you don’t have to. ✈️ PART 1: PACKING CUBES My personal favorite, even though they don’t necessarily win every category. 🧳 Organization: 10/10. I usually separate clothes by category (tops, bottoms, activewear), but on a multi-stop trip, I’ll organize by destination instead. On my recent Mallorca + Paris trip, I had a packing cube dedicated to my Paris outfits that stayed zipped until I arrived in Paris. 🙌 ⏱️ Time: Takes a little extra effort. You have to sort, fold, and pack everything into the cubes. And sometimes getting that compression zipper closed is a whole workout. 😂 📦 Space: Not the most efficient. The cubes leave spaces that I generally try to fill with smaller items, but if maximizing every inch is your priority, another method might be a better choice. But being able to find what I need without digging through my entire suitcase? That’s why I keep coming back to them! Tomorrow: Part 2 and another packing method! 👇 Tell me: Are you a packing cube person, or do you use another method? Same stuff. One suitcase. FIVE different packing methods. 👀✈️ I wanted to find out which packing method actually works best when you’re using the exact same clothes and suitcase. Packing cubes? Rolling? Laying everything flat? Vacuum bags? And one method I haven’t ever used before… Each has its pros and cons, and what works best might depend on what matters most to YOU: saving space, staying organized, or getting packed quickly. So I’m putting them all to the test, one method at a time, so you can decide which works best for YOUR next trip. Part 1 drops tomorrow! And let’s just say… my favorite might not be the winner in every category. 😉 Want links to my packing essentials and the outfits I’m bringing? Comment PACKING and I’ll send them your way! Which packing method do you swear by? Tell me below! 👇 #PackingTips #TravelPacking #PackingHacks #PackingCubes #vacuumbags by @packyourvalise
I don’t know about you, but I always want to hear what souvenirs people bring home! 👀 And should we also talk about how unpacking souvenirs feels like retail therapy softening the blow of not being on a trip anymore. Sometimes I only unpack my souvenirs and leave the rest of the suitcase for a couple days later🤣 My souvenir criteria? Something I’ll actually use, something that reminds me of a favorite moment, or something that makes me happy just looking at it. From Mallorca, I brought home: 🥗 A little ceramic pitcher I plan to use for homemade salad dressing 🍋 A lemon-covered ceramic vase I couldn’t leave behind 🏖️ A T-shirt from my favorite beach 🫒 Mallorcan olive oil to enjoy at home 🧄 A colorful garlic grater plate (a popular Mallorca find!) 🧣 Two scarves because I can never resist a pretty scarf 💙 A watercolor print that reminds me of our boat day 🍫 Chocolates from La Pajarita Bombonería in Palma Souvenirs don’t have to be expensive or even traditional. I just love bringing home little reminders of the places I’ve been. Now tell me… what’s your favorite kind of souvenir to bring home from a trip? I want to hear! 👇 Follow me @packyourvalise for more destination inspiration, travel tips, and packing hacks! #Mallorca #MallorcaSpain #visitMallorca #SpainTravel #TravelSouvenirs by @packyourvalise

Consider this your sign to plan a little fall adventure with someone you love. 🍂🤎 My daughter and I recently took an overnight road trip to the Catskills and had a great time! 🍁 Driving through the fall colors 🛍️ Wandering through little shops 🍎 Stopping for seasonal treats 🤎 And getting that uninterrupted time together Travel doesn’t have to mean expensive flights, a week of vacation, or a perfectly planned itinerary. Sometimes it’s just a pretty drive, a night away, or a spontaneous stop in a town you’ve never explored. You don’t have to go far to get away. And you don’t have to do something big to make a memory. Who would you love to take a little fall adventure with?
