SABBATIKAL

Everything we do is a political act.

Sabbatikal (@sabbatikal.la) is pleased to announce a special presentation by artist Thomas Deininger (@tdeininger) at InScope Miami Beach 2026 (@inscopeart), December 1–6.

Against a backdrop of environmental degradation, rampant consumerism, and growing social and political divisions, Deininger’s work invites us to reconsider the consequences of our collective actions.

Through intricate assemblages of discarded objects and everyday materials, Deininger transforms the remnants of consumer culture into extraordinary sculptural forms. From a distance, familiar images emerge; upon closer inspection, they dissolve into fragments of the very society they reflect.

His work challenges our perceptions of consumption, waste, and the world we inhabit, revealing both the destructive impact of human activity and the possibilities of transformation.

We look forward to sharing this special presentation during Miami Art Week.
