3 days agoI’ve been through this 2x with our kids. It takes about a year and the grief will be sprinkled throughout that time like glitter, catching your notice when you least expect it. But the silver lining? When we raise them right, they will always have room in their lives for their mommas. I’m just a message away if you need to share with someone who’s sitting on the other side of this next step.
3 days agoOh, this is such a bittersweet moment. ❤️ As mothers, we spend so many years raising them, loving them, and preparing them for the world, but somehow we’re never quite ready for the day they actually fly on their own. It’s beautiful to see them grow, but I can only imagine how much your heart must be feeling right now. Wishing your daughter all the happiness in this new chapter and sending you a big hug! ❤️ I have a 14 year old daughter and I know is going to be hard
3 days agoI totally understand however, this is a reminder that you did a great job parenting to provide her with the skills to become an adult. I celebrate you ! So many of us have been there and will support you through the transition.
