New chapter, mother's heart 💔

This weekend, we help our daughter move into her new home, and my heart wasn't quite prepared. For 25 years, she's been my baby.

The one who came home at the end of the day, the familiar footsteps, and now she's building her own home and family. I'm so proud of her. 🤧💔

Our door will always be open, our arms ready for a hug. Even though my heart is broken, I know it is life but it is still sooo hard. I am still sad today.😭, the Lord will give me strength to get through. 🙏

If you can offer any words of advice how you got through this, I'd love to hear them. Let me know in the comments.

Some behind the scenes....🍎

These are my Gluten-Free Apple Pie Streusel Muffins — spiced apple batter, a spoonful of real apple pie filling tucked in the middle, and a buttery streusel crumble baked on top. Every one is 100% gluten-free, made in my home kitchen in Wyoming, Ontario.

Find them right now along with my Pumpkin 🎃 Spice Strussel Muffins at @atasteofheavenstore — 6-packs, and they don't last long.

Some news from my little bakery 🎃

If you've been finding my baking at @cosmoscafe_wyo , you'll now find just the gluten-free there — because that line has grown so much, it needs the room to grow and doing all their baking wasn't gonna allow for that growth to happen.

I'm also quietly working on a gluten-free bread line, and I won't share it until it's just right. You deserve that.

I also want to provide a way for you to buy directly from me and I am also working to provide a great experience doing that so I hope that will be available in the 2-3wks.

Thank you for being here for all of it.
I am so happy that I can help make your day brighter and sweeter. 🥧🍁

Time is short. ⏰️🍂🍁

Take the drive. Take the moment. Take the break. You're not promised tomorrow.

This weekend I took an hour just to go where God ✝️was pulling me.

He didn't want me jumping straight to work — He wanted me to slow down and soak in the beauty around me. 🍁

The fall colours, the trails, the lakes.

Sometimes the "stuff" can wait. 🤍

Tomorrow is not promised, so today I want the people I love to know: I am deeply thankful for you. ❤️

Thanksgiving 2026 is definitely harder for everyone times are tough but there is still so much to be thankful for if you just look at smaller things around you.🍂🍂

I was thankful to go out for one LAST walk this morning with my daughter still living at home. She bought a 🏡 and is moving out in a few weeks to start a different chapter in her live. We have raised her for 25yrs and now she is leaving the 🪺 but she is ready.
I love her more than she will ever know or realize till I am long gone. 🫂

Happy 🇨🇦 Thanksgiving how ever you are spending it. 🥧🦃🍂

We're back with another Business as Usual, and this week we're highlighting a business that started with a birthday cake.

More than 16 years ago, Kimberly Kerr baked a dinosaur cupcake cake for her son's first birthday because purchasing one simply wasn't an option at the time. A photo shared online sparked interest, and what began as a simple act of love slowly grew into a business.

Today, @pureandsimplebakery is known for its small-batch baking, growing gluten-free product line, and partnerships with local businesses such as Cosmo's Café, A Taste of Heaven, and Shale Ridge Estates & Winery.

Operating from one of Wyoming's first certified kitchens, Kimberly continues to build her business through quality ingredients, community support, and a passion for creating products people genuinely enjoy.

A New Gluten-free Option 🍎🍏

Fall baking just got a little more delicious and gluten free.

There's something about the combination of sweet apples, warm, cinnamon. That feels like fall in every bite.

This gluten free, apple, cinnamon loaf, is everything I wanted. A fall baked to be- moist, tender full of apple flavor and perfectly spiced cinnamon. 🍎🍞

I tested this out on non gluten free people, and they could not even believe it was gluten free.

Always made with simple ingredients and baked from scratch here @pureandsimplebakery

Would you choose a slice for breakfast or dessert? Let me know in the comments.

God Wink Today ✨

This morning in my early morning devotion I prayed a very specific prayer - that God would send people from all over to find my little gluten-free business.

A few hours later, my phone rang.

It was a couple who had bought my gluten-free treats at @atasteofheavenstore.
They were calling to ask if I have a storefront... but that one call turned into the sweetest conversation full of ideas, encouragement, and connection.

Exactly what I had just prayed for.

Not a coincidence. Definitely a God wink. 🤍

Thank you so much Mr. & Mrs. Bain, you blessed me more than you know.

Have you ever had a God wink moment where your prayer was answered the same day? Tell me below - I read every one 👇

HOW GLUTEN-FREE BAKING IS DONE 🤍

If you’re part of the gluten-free community, I want you to know that I take your food seriously.

At Pure & Simple Bakery & Pantry my gluten-free baking is intentionally kept separate from my regular baking here is what is done to keep you safe.

✨ Separate baking days~I choose a dedicated days for my gluten-free orders. My regular baking is done on a different days, so I’m not switching back and forth between gluten-containing and gluten-free products.

✨ Dedicated gluten-free equipment ~
The tools, pans, utensils and other baking equipment I use for gluten-free baking are dedicated to gluten-free production and are not used for my regular baking.

✨ Separate ingredients & storage ~ Gluten-free ingredients are kept separate from ingredients that contain gluten, helping to minimize the risk of accidental cross-contact.

✨ A process built around care ~
From preparation to baking and packaging, I intentionally keep my gluten-free and regular baking processes separate.

I know that choosing gluten-free food can come with a lot of questions and concerns. While I am a small home-based bakery certified through public health I want you to feel confident knowing that gluten-free baking is something I approach with care, intention and respect.

Thank you for support and the love and supporting messages I get daily on my bakery and Gluten-free options 🤍

God Loves Your Kindness, and so do I. 🙏❤️
