Marlboro Music

Violinist Geneva Lewis, violist Emma Wernig, and cellist Jay Campbell are enjoying a Marlboro residency this week, intensively exploring one of the great works in the musical canon: Bach’s Goldberg Variations, arranged for string trio.

In the midst of their creative retreat on our Vermont campus, Geneva, Emma, and Jay shared the results of their work with our local audience yesterday afternoon in an epic performance in Ragle Hall.

Thanks to all who came out for this residency concert and for the inspiring literary conversation, with poets Bianca Stone and Mark Wunderlich, that followed. Join us for the next events in these series on December 13 when Marlboro pianist Ayane Nakajima presents a solo recital and author, activist, and educator Bill McKibben shares the In Conversation stage with novelist Tim Weed.
