Yeah, that berserker armor is mainly meant to make him go all berserk mode, numb the pain, and set his bones and flesh in place to keep on fighting, though it doesn't really fix anything in him. I think he just heals normally while not fighting. Basically, him being outside of that armor, he would just be a heavily injured guy in a lot of pain, and the armor helps as some sort of anesthetic/pain killer. Guts pretty much tearing himself apart each time he fights an apostle.

Yeah, it doesn't so much "fix" his broken body, as much as it forcibly holds it together. Pretty sure everyone familiar knows what you meant. Anyone giving you crap for it has bigger problems they should be focusing on

It’s a interesting set of armour: it keeps him alive JUST TO FIGHT, which means that when he isn’t in it he will be gravely wounded. It basically FEEDS on his rage/body/violence!
