🇬🇧 Fair enough, this is definitely not a piece from my collection, but I did state at the very beginning that eventually I will talk about pieces with which I only come into contact. Well, this is definitely an item worth a post: a draft of the very first novel ever submitted to a publisher by the queen of murder mysteries, Agatha Christie. Funnily enough, her first attempt at a novel was not a detective story at all, but a romance by the title Snow Upon the Desert. Unfortunately the literary agency Hughes and Massie turned the manuscript down, leaving the work unpublished. Here is the original transcript, never displayed before, belonging to the Christie Archive Trust and on display at the British Library (@britishlibrary)until the 20th of June 2027.
