What is it about a covered bridge?? 🤩
Did you know that PA has the MOST covered bridges of any US state? (We used to have over 1000 at one point.)
And some of those bridges are over 150 years old! 🤯
If you love a covered bridge, you are in luck because there are several of them in the Delaware and Lehigh Valleys. You can find many in Montgomery County, Berks County, Bucks County and Lehigh County. You can also follow covered bridge tours and make a whole day of it! What a fun way to see the fall foliage.
One my favorite covered bridge facts is that Philadelphia is the only major city in the US with a covered bridge (Thomas Mill Bridge in Wissahickon).
Are you a sucker for covered bridges too?
