Here's why you should hike the Charmant Som peak if you're in the Chartreuse region
♡ Alpine meadows, grazing cows on beautiful pastures - cow bells as your soundtrack
♡ Panaromic views of the surrounding mountains; and on clear days, you can see all way to Mount Blanc
♡ there's a little Auberge at the foot of the climb where you can stop for a beer and a snack or a full fledged alpine meal. Next to it, sits a fromagerie in a hut where you can taste and purchase fresh cheese!
♡ The hike is only 2.73km long with 200m EG on well marked trails making it suitable for the young ones
♡ Possibly the easiest access to a peak without having to embark on a huge hike
