For 43 years running now, the @paulee_vinsdeloire dinner is a culinary spectacle that champions Loire Valley wines in unison with outstanding cuisine. The guest of honour @mathieu.guibert of 2 Michelin star @maison_annedebretagne (currently in hiatus due to massive renovations) had to tackle the mammoth challenge of uniting 10 chosen wines to his style of cooking. And he did so... flawlessly. Prawns confit and meticulously fanned over a shallow dish is blessed with a nasturtium coulis singed with browned butter, then a braised turbot accompanied with cockles and a caramelised bones jus - as magnetic as the wines they were betrothed to.

This dinner is reserved for professionals only, so pulling up to the table this time round, allowed me glimpses into the world of camaraderie shared by the Loire Valley winemakers that most people are not privy to. It was undeniably enigmatic, like a private joke shared between childhood friends - yet so convivial and unpretentious at the same time.

I've never been prouder to call Loire Valley my home.

Merci @paulee_vinsdeloire, @bertrandjallerat and @n.jallerat for the invite and @agence_catherine_barrier for making it come true.

One for the road. Truly grateful once more for the opportunities to wine and dine in 2025 despite being bogged down with toddler responsibilities and the deadweight of a baby bump (I jest, M was the highlight of my year) - and inspite of all that, I've knocked up quite a list of heavy hitters across several countries.

So in no particular order, here's presenting my TOP 10 DINING EXPERIENCES OF 2025, a combination of strong cuisine, good service and just overall good vibes.

Happy New Year everyone and may 2026 bring you new food adventures, especially yummy ones!

In my era of raising tiny humans...

Story time! To be honest, this 2 year gap, or 33 months to be exact wasn't intentional. After breastfeeding Averie for slightly beyond a whole year, I was just starting to get out of my postpartum rut, i.e. feeling like a human again; Mathieu and I felt that it was time to try for another one. If I'm being real, watching Averie play on her own in our big countryside home was just such a large push factor on its own. She needed a playmate! So we started trying in March 2024, and were unsuccessful for many months till December 2024. We then found out that I was pregnant in late Jan.

Feeling truly blessed at the start of 2025, we then waited with baited breath to see how Averie would react to 弟弟 baby brother. And turns out, she was so proud to be a big sister, her actions speaking volumes. The way she gently pats him, how she searches for his chup-chup (pacifier) when he is having the crying fits, or running to me to tell me that "Didi needs 🍼". It's really endearing to watch this unfold, and I pray that their relationship develops further as they grow.

Proof: Instagram isn't always fake 🔍

Here's why you should hike the Charmant Som peak if you're in the Chartreuse region
♡ Alpine meadows, grazing cows on beautiful pastures - cow bells as your soundtrack
♡ Panaromic views of the surrounding mountains; and on clear days, you can see all way to Mount Blanc
♡ there's a little Auberge at the foot of the climb where you can stop for a beer and a snack or a full fledged alpine meal. Next to it, sits a fromagerie in a hut where you can taste and purchase fresh cheese!
♡ The hike is only 2.73km long with 200m EG on well marked trails making it suitable for the young ones
♡ Possibly the easiest access to a peak without having to embark on a huge hike

Made a movie instead 🥖📽✨️

Going to Paris with kids means skipping the crowds, finding little pockets of magic, running out all that energy - putting them to bed - and then getting back out there again. It's a tight rope, honestly, but one that guarantees less anxiety and a lot more smiles.

Here are some of my suggestions
By day ☀️:
• Jardin des Plantes - lovely garden paths, botanical gardens and even a zoo intact. It extends out to the Seine as well and is definitely less crowded than most parts.
• Jardin de Luxembourg - comes with a famous pond where kids can sail miniature wooden toy boats
• Jardin Ludo - a gated playground in the aforementioned park that's superbly well maintained and equipped. Perfect for letting kids burn off energy
• Chantelivre - a massive children's bookstore in the 6th arrondissement that also houses an immersive space for kids ages 0 -7 at the back
• Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle - hands down one of the best natural history museums I've encountered. Great for curious minds.

Keep your eyes peeled for my mischievous evening 💡 ideas!

@maisonhonnel avoids the polished sterility that can sometimes accompany luxury hospitality. Its spaces feel composed rather than contrived, structured but not overly precious.

Unlike some of the more grandiose, intimidating institutions in town, at Maison Honnel there is just enough imperfection to make the place feel human.

You approach the lift with little persuasion. It feels like home. I would have left my shoes at the door of the hotel if I could.

My whirlwind adventure last weekend to Spain, took me to experience Barcelona Hotel Bar Week (@barcelonahotelbarweek), now in its second edition. 🍸✨️

What an honour it is to witness the blood, sweat and tears of a friend manifested on such a grand scale. @biancagrisolia 💪💪💪

To see the growing hotel bar scene in Barcelona placed on a pedestal, championed and celebrated for what it truly is — a world of craftsmanship, creativity, history and countless hours of work that often happen behind the scenes of a perfectly kempt and luxurious facade.

Tbh, hotel bars can often feed intimidating or inaccessible to the everyday drinker. Hence, its great to see such a festival tearing down those walls and literally opening the doors to these incredible venues.

The closing party on the rooftop of @slsbarcelona was the perfect culmination — a night of fun, gratitude and dangerously good cocktails. What a way to wrap it up.

🇫🇷[NEW] @SEOKParis opened in Park Hyatt Vendôme middle of September. And to be honest, Chef Mingoo Kang's first foray into the Parisian dining scene couldn't have come at a better time.

WHY?

Because... Paris Is absolutely swept up in a massive Korean culinary wave right now. Driven by Netflix binge-watching, a booming obsession with K-beauty and its pop-culture; Korean food has officially transitioned from a niche curiosity into a dominant force in the Parisian dining scene.

So here's what SEOK is doing right
• preserving the authenticity of Korean flavours
• Advocating Korean culture not only through food but their drinks program
• creating a dining program centered around sharing - banchan, small plates, etc (which in my opinion might be a tough ask for French people)
• using French produce to craft this experience
• the AESTHETICS are 🔥 - blending the wood-worshipping ethos of the Koreans with plush low social seatings.

Hence, its easy to see why this immersive and incredibly exciting address in Paris is the one to watch!

So incredibly honoured to get the opportunity to dine there before the crowds seep in. ❣️

My initial 24 hours in Barcelona — a little bit of a blur. 🍸

Panel talks, guest shifts, very cool people (@cocktails_in_paris, @carcarnevale😎), super late nights and cocktails in some seriously good hotel bars.

Quite the way to see the city. @barcelonahotelbarweek, you are so much fun!
