There is nothing anyone is hearing or reading more valuable than the Word of God. May this night be remembered when @youversion took over the famed Times Square in New York for Global Bible Month to put the Bible and the work of God through the Church on display before the world.

Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples! (Psalm 96:3)

Deeply humbled to have been honored this night in the very city where I once roamed the streets without hope. Now unto Him who is able…

That night we showed up to the gig in Oviedo Spain Sept 21, 1992, and there were several mysterious Les Pauls sitting in the guitar rack. @slash I head banged so hard my neck hurt for a week🤩😂

I briefly played w/ Sir Patrick Stewart on a sitcom called “Blunt Talk”. I wasn’t even a big Trek guy, but I knew of his global renown, his commitment to the craft, and his genre-agnostic approach that spanned Shakespearian theater, David Lynch, Mel Brooks, the Old Testament, Stan Lee, Charles Dickens; from the brilliant comic mind of Seth MacFarlane to the darkened door of Jeremy Saulnier.

I improvised something when we shot and kinda “went for it”. Symptoms of the disease of thirst. “Only a few lines of dialogue but GOD do I want to shine!” My improv and boldness made Stewart break character and after one take in particular, Michael Lehmann yelled “Cut!” and Sir Patrick started a round of applause and stared at me, mid clap, with a smirk and a knowing look of some kind.

Later that day, we were standing at craft service and he told me some anecdotes about he and Sir Ian McKellan, and when I told him I was an aspiring writer/director, he said “Well, I hope you’ll consider me when you’re ready. I’m with ICM and Circle of Confusion-“

The generosity and humility, from my vantage point, was off the charts. He’ll be missed for a great many performances, but I’ll miss him for his performance as “self”. It made a budding, and deeply thirsty, actor feel welcome and celebrated.

When the king of the jungle starts making election promises, even the sheep have a reason to be suspicious!

Imagine a lion standing before a crowd of innocent sheep and deer, confidently announcing that he’ll become a vegetarian the moment he gets elected. Sounds like the perfect candidate, right? After all, what could be better than a predator promising to give up hunting for the sake of his voters?

But there's just one tiny problem. The promise is coming from the very animal that has spent its entire life hunting the same creatures it is now trying to impress! 💀

And that's what makes this meme so hilariously relatable. It's a clever take on how grand promises can suddenly appear when someone wants power, support, or approval. From dramatic speeches to unbelievable commitments, sometimes the things people promise sound a little too good to be true.

The funniest part? The sheep in the audience probably think they've finally found a leader who understands their problems, while the deer in the background are wondering whether they should trust the speech or start running. 😂

Of course, the meme is pure satire, but there's a timeless message hidden behind the humour: Promises are easy to make, but actions are what truly reveal someone's intentions.

Because when a lion promises to become vegetarian, the real question isn't what he's saying before the election. It's what happens after he wins!

Would you vote for this candidate, or would you run before the speech even ended?
