For Jayshree, education was never something to take for granted.
Taken out of school as a child to care for her siblings and work alongside her family at a brick kiln, she eventually found her way back to the classroom. At 16, she picked up a camera to tell a story bigger than her own.
In FIRE IN OUR HEARTS, Jayshree introduces us to girls fighting for the chance to learn, families navigating poverty and migration and a community that sees education as a path toward dignity and a different future.
