How are you feeling about this the Midterm Election? Just because a race isn’t called tonight doesn’t mean something went wrong. Often, it just means that the counting is still going on. Here’s why different races have different results:
* Some states process mail ballots before Election Day, others have to wait until Election Day
* Counties vary in size, staffing, and how many ballots they have to count
* Provisional ballots, cast when eligibility can’t be confirmed right away, have to be reviewed
* Some voters get a chance to correct a problem with a mail ballot, like a missing signature
* Military and overseas voters have special protections and deadlines
* In some states, ballots postmarked by Election Day can still arrive after Election Day and be counted
Every vote is important. It’s hard to wait, but the results are slow on purpose. Save and share with the other anxious babes this election night 💅 #midterms #election2026 #electionnight #exvangelical #deconstruction
