On our last trip to Japan a year ago I became particularly enamoured with all the tiny bars and cafes in the alpine towns we visited, staffed by seemingly just one person who did it all - hosting, mixing drinks, cooking, bussing - often from behind a cramped but beautifully organised back bar space. It seeped into my consciousness so much I had an actual dream about opening my own one, and got inspired to draw these sketches of these multi-tasking folk at work in their gorgeous spaces.
