When the new Congress takes office in January, here’s the agenda I want: 1️⃣ HEALTH CARE Push to reverse Medicaid cuts and restore ACA premium assistance. 2️⃣ FOOD ASSISTANCE Push to reverse SNAP cuts that make groceries harder for struggling families to afford. 3️⃣ TARIFFS Vote to roll back Trump’s sweeping tariffs and restore congressional control over trade. 4️⃣ WAR POWERS Vote to end unauthorized hostilities in Iran. Demand a public accounting of the costs. 5️⃣ IMMIGRATION Investigate alleged ICE abuses. Protect due process. Seek enforceable limits on detention and deportation spending. 6️⃣ PUBLIC SERVICES Audit DOGE’s cuts. Pursue restoration of essential staffing, medical research, and services. 7️⃣ ENVIRONMENT Advance legislation restoring clean-air, clean-water, and climate protections. 8️⃣ ELECTIONS Strengthen voting protections. Investigate federal interference with lawful election administration. 9️⃣ VANITY PROJECTS Audit the ballroom and other projects. Demand the approvals, contracts, donor records, and taxpayer costs. 🔟 ACCOUNTABILITY Investigate conflicts of interest and alleged corruption. Open an impeachment inquiry. Bring articles for substantiated impeachable abuses. Use hearings, subpoenas, funding negotiations, and public votes. Publish the findings. Put obstruction on the record. Reversing laws still requires a presidential signature or enough votes to override a veto. Congressional investigations can begin without Trump’s permission. FOLLOW THE MONEY. REPAIR THE DAMAGE.
