Anthropic just filed to go public. You'll see headlines saying they lost $80 billion in six months. About $72 billion of that is an accounting charge from their valuation going up.
The real numbers: revenue jumped from $1.2 billion to $16.3 billion in the first half of the year, they lost about $700 million on the actual business, and in the April-June quarter they made about $1 billion in operating income.
