Somewhere between putting this home together, fussing over the details, getting the aesthetics just right and bringing all the elements together, I paused at this corner.

Perhaps it was the warmth of the light, the beautiful play of textures, the flowers, or simply the feeling of the season settling into a space. It struck me how much beauty we spend our lives looking for, creating and curating.

And yet, in a world where there is always so much on everyone’s mind, perhaps what we need just as much is to turn our gaze inward.

We are so occupied with what is happening around us, what needs fixing, what needs achieving, what comes next. But how often do we pause to see what is happening within?

As a designer, I will always believe in the power of aesthetics, in the beauty of a thoughtfully put-together space, and in the little things that make life richer.

But perhaps the most beautiful thing we can curate is a little more stillness within ourselves.

A home, after all, is not just about how beautifully it comes together. It’s also about how it makes you feel.

A little moment from a home we’ve just completed and handed over. And a thought that stayed with me.
