This election cycle began for me with an intense legislative session. It stretched me as a communicator, a publicist, a fundraiser, a strategist, an organizer, a designer, a storyteller, a world builder, a leader, a wife, a mother, a sister, and a friend.

And on Election Day, I got to spend it in the city where it all started for me, with people who have held me some for over a decade, some for only a few years.

May we continue to plant seeds that we may never be able to reap the fruit of. May we always do the deep and cumbersome work of leaving the world better than we found it.

To a Democracy that Black women keep loving deeper than we’ve ever been loved back. 🥂

To another Legislative session, another organizing cycle, another round of late nights on government building floors. Accountability begins tomorrow. ♥️
