Dwyane Wade’s statue has a new face! The Miami Heat revealed the updated statue outside their arena, two years after the original went viral because many said it didn’t look like D Wade. In an essay on Substack, Wade said he “heard the jokes,” “saw the memes,” and “read the reactions.” He decided to update the head because “If people don’t feel that connection when they look at the face, why wouldn’t we try to make it better?” He added, “It may be my likeness, but it will always be our house.” What do you think of the new look? 👀
ABDUL EL-SAYED: “That’s why my campaign is built around three simple principles: money out of politics, money in your pocket, and Medicare for All.” Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Dr. Abdul El-Sayed outlines his priorities ahead of Tuesday’s election in a new op-ed for @foxnewsopinion. He says his campaign has focused on traditionally Republican areas overlooked by both parties and criticizes Republican opponent Mike Rogers for supporting President Trump’s policies. Read more about El-Sayed’s message to Michigan voters at FoxNews.com or download the Fox News app.
Halloween has always been associated with costumes, but the way people dressed up for it has changed dramatically over the years. From creepy homemade disguises and genuinely terrifying masks in the early 1900s to elaborate movie-inspired outfits and pop-culture references today, Halloween costumes have evolved into a tradition of their own. What once revolved around frightening away evil spirits has become a celebration of creativity, horror, and humour, with people going all out to make their costumes unforgettable. And somehow, the old-school costumes still manage to be some of the creepiest.
Some creations are more than dresses. They are part of our story. ❤️ Dear Anna, I was still a fashion design student when I created my very first dress for you. Who could have imagined that, years later, our journey would continue on the stages of the world’s most prestigious opera houses? Thank you, @anna_netrebko_yusi_tiago for believing in me from the very beginning, for your endless support, and for bringing our creations to life with your extraordinary presence and unforgettable voice. Some dresses tell a story. Ours tell a story of friendship, trust, and beautiful memories. ❤️ With love and gratitude, Daniela #AnnaNetrebko #AtelierDanielaDeSouza #HauteCouture #OperaFashion #MadeInItaly
