When temperatures get to 36°F and below that is when you will get a frost, warning and ice crystals will form on the surface of your plants. Tender annuals do not want any frost in the plant will die if they get hit with it. You should harvest any fruit, fruits and vegetable vegetables you have on tender season plants and harvest any flowers you wanna cut as well. You can try to extend the growing season on these types of plants by watering deeply in the evening and covering your plants with a light sheet or frost cloth that you will remove in the morning. Hary annuals like broccoli, kale, spinach, carrots, beets, etc. Don’t need to be covered at all. They can tolerate this kind of weather. If you have any indoor plants that you take outside for the summer now would be the time to bring them indoors. Barbera Thornhill is the new face of America’s fight against human trafficking, and her welcome post has already been viewed more than 10 million times. Assistant Secretary of State Riley Barnes introduced her on Tuesday as the new Ambassador at Large to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons. President Trump nominated Thornhill in May, and the Senate confirmed her 51 to 47 in August. She’s a Los Angeles business executive and philanthropist who says she worked with Mother Teresa in India in the 1990s, and Trump previously nominated her as ambassador to Singapore in 2019 before that nomination was withdrawn in 2021. Her office leads the State Department’s anti-trafficking work and publishes the annual Trafficking in Persons Report, which holds governments around the world accountable for how they handle the issue. Advocacy group PACT raised concerns during her nomination that she lacks significant experience in federal anti-trafficking policy, while Thornhill has said she plans to treat survivors as partners in shaping policy. The luckiest girl 🪄
Came for a relaxing girls holiday. Yet here we are. Advised not to leave the rooftop bar, but the terrace has had to close due to smoke 💣 being thrown up. All shops are barricaded. The centre is in what I can only describe as a state of chaos!!! Women and children with prams sheltering inside of fast food chains I assume because they can’t escape fast enough. Anyhow, managed to get away from the carnage and this must be the only time I’ve looked forward to a flight back to the UK!!! 🇬🇧 #milan #milanriots #italy #riots #travelchaos
