@sortofshaggy Totally agree with your hash tag! Our hotel, however, would be the Riviera Maya equivalent of a Rick Steves' European choice!

17 YEARS OF NIALAYA! ❤️🇺🇸 This week marks 17 years since I started Nialaya. What a crazy, beautiful journey it’s been! So many ups and downs, incredible experiences, challenges, lessons, and amazing people along the way. This amazing company helped me create the life I dreamt about when I moved to America 18 and a half years ago. I still LOVE what I do, love walking into my office every morning, love the daily grind, my colleagues, customers around the world and still meet amazing people every single day because of it ! People often ask me what it takes to build something successful. My answer is always the same. One word: OBSESSED. You have to be obsessed with what you do and willing to put in the work, day after day, year after year. Back in 2009, I started Nialaya with my last $5,000. I bought some beads and string, set up a little IKEA table and a garden chair in the corner of my garage, and got to work. No investors, no fancy office, no money left. Just grit, discipline, dedication, passion, and an enormous appetite to make shit happen. Who would have thought that a few beads and some string in my garage would turn into the world’s No 1 celebrity jewelry brand ever created.🏆 Nothing came easy. There have been plenty of days when things looked anything but promising. It’s easy to admire someone’s success once it’s been built. What you don’t see are the thousands of hours and hard days, long nights, sacrifices, and setbacks it took to get there. That’s why I’m especially proud to say that in just two months, we’ll be wrapping up OUR BEST YEAR EVER in 17 years of business! We’re still growing, still pushing, and still just If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that you don’t need to have everything figured out. Just get started. Work hard. Stay disciplined. No excuses. Keep showing up, especially when things get difficult. 18 and a half years after moving here, I still believe the American Dream is alive and well.
