What I bought from Europe’s largest Antiques Fair…. If you saw my reel yesterday you’ll know that Jon and I this week went to a huge antiques fair in Newark, Nottinghamshire. The plan was to try and get some furniture for our new home, we even last minute hired a van. Did we get any furniture? No. Did we drive home with a completely empty fan? Yes. 😂 I am so pleased with the bits I did get though, I could have bought way more as well. I’m an antiques amateur - do you think any of my things were overpriced? And what was your favourite thing I bought? 😍 #antiquesfair #newarkantiquesfair #antiquesofinstagram #thriftingfinds

I’m 57. Divorced. A mother of three. And I’ve never felt more FREE. ❤️ There was a time when I cared so much about what other people thought. What I wore. How I looked. How I behaved in public. Whether I was being “too much.” But you know what? I’m DONE making myself smaller to make other people comfortable. ✨ I dance when I feel like dancing. I laugh out loud. I wear what makes me feel beautiful. I do things that my younger self would have been too embarrassed to even try. And the best part? I genuinely don’t care who’s watching. Because at 57, I’ve learned something that I wish I had known at 27: Life is way too short to live for other people’s approval. You don’t owe anyone a quieter, smaller or more “age-appropriate” version of yourself. You deserve to be happy. To be loud. To be silly. To be YOU. At any age. So please, stop worrying about what people might think. Most of them are too busy worrying about themselves anyway. 😉 Your happiness matters more than their opinions. ALWAYS. ❤️
