All adventurous women do...come back for a revival. The Emmy Award-winning comedy series "Girls," created by and starring Lena Dunham, is returning to HBO for a limited five-episode run. The show, which originally ran for six seasons from 2012 to 2017, was an iconic and controversial cornerstone of culture that invited near-constant discourse, as much as acclaim. "I've missed these characters, but for a long time I couldn't quite picture them in the present day," Dunham was quoted as saying in a news release by HBO. "Then, right around my fortieth birthday, they started talking to me in the shower." Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, Zosia Mamet and Andrew Rannells, who made up the cast of confused and chaotic New York-dwelling twenty-somethings in the original show, are all returning for the revival. Production is set to start in 2027 CNN and HBO share the same parent company, Skydance. 📸: HBO
Kipchoge in Full Flow 🐐 Marvel at the GOAT, Eliud Kipchoge, in full flow at the Melbourne Marathon over the weekend. Watch closely and you’ll see him move beautifully through all five key positions we teach in our Five Move Running System: DIP → TUCK → DRIVE → KICK → LAND But there’s something particularly special about his stride. By the time Kipchoge reaches mid-stance (our DIP position), his stance heel is already beginning to lift. His hands have already passed the midpoint of their swing. He’s already preparing to leave the ground! His landing is so stable and well-timed that he moves almost seamlessly into unloading the foot. There’s no unnecessary delay, no prolonged push-off. Just an incredibly efficient transition from landing to propulsion. It’s a masterclass in working WITH the ground, not AGAINST it. And this is exactly what we’re developing through our two courses. 🏃 FIVE MOVE RUNNING We develop the movement skills, coordination and timing needed to move through all five positions: Dip, Tuck, Drive, Kick and Land. ⚡ GET FREE SPEED We develop the elastic qualities that allow you to get on and off the ground quickly: BRACE → BOUNCE → OPEN → JUMP → REACT Learning to create stiffness, absorb and return energy, unload the foot and become increasingly reactive. Kipchoge demonstrates what happens when exceptional movement skills and elasticity come together. We might not all run like Kipchoge, but we can certainly learn from him! Some places make you realise that a beautiful life doesn’t always have to be complicated. 🤍 Gassin, a little medieval village perched above the French Riviera, overlooking the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. 🤍 Dating back to the Middle Ages, this village was once known as a lookout point because of its hilltop position. Today, it’s a maze of narrow stone streets, old doorways, little cafés and views that make you want to stop walking for a while. What I loved was finding contemporary sculptures by Jean-Luc Ducreux and Sylvain Dautremay right in the middle of all this. There’s something beautiful about a place where old architecture and modern art can exist together, without competing for attention. Maybe the real value of art is that someone cares enough to make the world a little more beautiful, and someone else gets to experience that beauty long after the work is done. 🩵
