Unexpected garden finds turn into the best kitchen experiments! 🍇✨
I came across these stunning Lilly Pillies at a friend’s place and just couldn’t resist. I’ve always been curious about using native Australian bush foods, so I decided to see what I could whip up.
The result? A vibrant, tart jam and a super refreshing sorbet. I am officially obsessed! 💖 Not only is the color incredible, but the flavor is like nothing else—refreshing, slightly spicy, and perfectly sweet.
Nature really provides the best ingredients. If you have a Lilly Pilly tree nearby, don’t let those berries go to waste! 🇦🇺🌿

Fresh, organic veggies straight from the backyard to the kitchen! 🧺✨ There’s nothing quite like the feeling of stepping into the garden and plucking your own fresh produce for dinner. From crisp greens to homegrown root veggies, every harvest is a reminder of how rewarding growing your own food can be. 🌿🥔✨

For the past three years, it wasn’t always easy for her to grow and maintain her hair so well, but she stayed committed for this meaningful cause. As a mother, I’m so proud of her. She donated 34 cm (around 30 cm usable length) of her beautiful hair for cancer survivors.💕🫶

For over a decade and a half, my heart has consistently said “yes” to one color. 🖤
The effortless comfort of lightweight mulmul meets the timeless rich texture of a Kanchi cotton border. Simple, breezy, and endlessly classic.

Today we’re taking cuttings and multiplying two of my absolute favourites: trailing ground morning glory (Convolvulus sabatius) and lavender! Both are soaking up the spring sunshine and rooting like a dream right now.

🌿 Quick Takeaway:
• Morning Glory: Take soft-tip non-flowering cuttings, strip the lower nodes, and root in a well-draining perlite mix.
• Lavender: Snip semi-hardwood stems (just below the green tip where it starts turning woody) and keep the soil lightly damp, never soggy.

Sorry for breaking the break... but plant joy is meant to be shared! 🪴💜

My Egyptian rose with divine fragrance💕🫶

About 12 years ago, one of my very first work colleagues, originally from Thailand, gifted me a tiny propagated cutting for my housewarming. Handing it to me, she shared its unforgettable journey:
Back in the 1960s, a family migrated from Egypt to Australia, bringing a cutting of their cherished red rose with them. Decades later, when they finally sold their home to my colleague, they left with one heartfelt request: “Please look after this red rose bush—and let us return to take a cutting one day.”
She protected that rose, nursed it, and began propagating cuttings to gift to close friends, carrying forward the family’s legacy. When that gift came to me, I was so moved by the love behind it that I made a promise to do the exact same. Over the past decade, I’ve propagated this rose time and time again, sharing cuttings and its beautiful story with everyone who visits my garden. 🌿❤️
The scent is genuinely divine—rich, classic, and intoxicating. Beyond its beauty, it’s completely edible: perfect for calming herbal teas, fragrant desserts, and natural skincare face packs.
Plants carry memories, and every bloom is a reminder of where it all began.
Have you ever received a cutting that came with a story? Tell me below! 👇

A garden grown not from garden centres, but from cups of tea, garden walks, and friends handing me cuttings wrapped in wet paper towels over the years. Every corner holds a memory, a story, and a piece of someone I love.

From tiny pruned stems to lush green corners — patience, water, and love really do the rest. ✨🌱

Drop a 💚 if your favourite plants also came from a friend’s garden!

Day 9 • The grand finale of Navratri in peacock green 🦚✨

Closing out these nine days standing beside Amma feels extra special. I went with an easy, understated peacock green khadi cotton drape today, while Amma wore the very same saree she wore on my wedding day—pure, timeless elegance.

Truth be told, I was so indecisive about picking my jewelry today. Part of it was just lingering in the moment, knowing this is the final day of dressing up for Navratri this year.

Sharing this festive stretch with Amma—and teaming up with my dearest Vidya—has made this season unforgettable. 💛

Wishing you and your families a joyous final day of Navratri and a very Happy Dussehra for tomorrow! ✨🪔
