Michael King has exercised his right to become a Free Agent. Considering he stayed healthy to the tune of 185 innings pitched and dominance in the Postseason, it is all but certain that he will command a 9-figure long term deal. PHT's proprietary CRIZZLE projection system forecasts a deal of 5 Years / $145m..... Should the Padres sign their prize piece from the Juan Soto trade? #mlb #padres #sandiegopadres #baseball by @padreshottub
We were lucky enough to be joined once again by @sandiegouniontribune Padres Beat reporter Kevin Acee to talk the Padres 2027 plans and he gave us tremendous insight into the team's thinking at the catcher position. #padres #sandiegopadres #baseball #mlb by @padreshottub
The first offseason for new Padres owners' Jose Feliciano and Kwanza Jones promises to be anything but typical: A looming lockout, expiring contracts, team options, and aging stars make the next few months an inflection point that could set the table for the next 4-5 years of Padres Baseball. #mlb #padres #baseball #sandiego by @padreshottub
Our final Postgame Show of the year was definitely our saddest.... Outside of some uncharacteristically sloppy defense by the 103-win Milwaukee Brewers, the Padres see little go their way in a 4-game NLDS and fail to get past the round for the third year in a row. And it sucks. It sucks so so much. Very grateful to our patrons for their contributions on our Discord Server and our postgame shows. We begin our offseason programming beginning with our Playoff Postmortem coming Monday. #mlb #padres #sandiegopadres #baseball by @padreshottub
LFGSD The Friar Faithful SHOWED up after the San Diego Padres' unlikely sprint to the highest NL Wild Card seed, giving the team an unparalleled advantage in their home turf. Those who spent their cash and cleared their calendars to get Downtown midweek were richly rewarded... Not every NLWC series provides a single iconic moment, this one featured at least 3. Enjoy Gavin Sheets' epic contribution to Padres lore within some highlights from our Patron-exclusive Postgame Show. Last night ruled and on the throne was The King. In one of the most dominant performances in Padres postseason history, Michael King flummoxed one of MLB's best lineups and made 2026's eventual MVP big sad. One more. #mlb #padres #sandiegopadres #baseball #lfgsd by @padreshottub

Jake Cronenworth became the 3rd Padre to be named NL Player of the Week in the past month when he scorched the Rockies and Marlins, culminating in a 2 HR performance that left the fish no room to escape the gaffe. Our feisty "little 2b" has successfully salvaged a disappointing year that saw him battle a nasty head injury for about 1/3 of the season. #mlb #padres #sandiegopadres #baseball #padreswin by @padreshottub
There is no larger stack of "found money" on the 2026 Padres than the stack named Ty France. His homecoming has proven pivotal to the Padres success this year and we've been calling for the extension since before the trade deadline. #mlb #padres #sandiegopadres #baseball #padreswin by @padreshottub
Our hosts were hardly alone in being skeptical that Nick Pivetta would contribute in 2026 after an elbow issue that saw him miss significant time in Boston resurfaced. The team seemed to be just as skeptical, buttressing their starting rotation with not one but two frontline starters at the trade deadline. A month later, Pivetta's return performance was nothing short of clutch. Five scoreless innings helped the Padres take the first game against an extremely formidable Nationals offense and gave the coaching staff flexibility heading into the final two weeks of the season. #mlb #padres #sandiegopadres #baseball #padreswin by @padreshottub
The loud and passionate segment of Padres fans who demanded Ethan Salas be called up got their wish and could end up regretting it. MLB is littered with stalled and derailed development stories and the Padres took a massive chance when they promoted Ethan at the youngest age of any MLB catcher since Ivan Rodriguez. We are excited to watch this first chapter in hopefully a fantastic career but can't help but worry that this was a decision made under duress. There is a ton at stake for both the team and a young talent with massive upside. #mlb #padres #sandiegopadres #baseball by @padreshottub
Nando has single-handily taken over two games in the past week and has seen a nearly .300 point increase to his OPS since May. #mlb #padres #sandiegopadres #baseball #tatisjr by @padreshottub
