I’ll take 10 more of him please 🥹
he’s literally the best most chill baby ever. I am so grateful & cannot imagine life without him now. 🫶🏻 by @paigewesslen

They don’t call it witching hour for nothin’ 🧙🏽‍♀️🔮

Lmaooo to be honest it hasn’t been that bad 😂 but I’m sure harder nights between dinner, bath & bed are cominggg! #momhumor #hauntedhouse #witchinghour #boymom #momof3 by @paigewesslen

Today, my 2nd baby would have been 6 years old. 🤍

Six years since the day met him in a way I never imagined. Six years since I experienced a heartbreak that changed me forever.

I lost my sweet boy at 18 weeks. I never got to hear his laugh, watch him take his first steps, see him with his brothers or celebrate a birthday with him. I never got to know who he would have been.

And today, I’m sitting in his little brother’s nursery, rocking and nursing a baby who isn’t even a month old yet.

My arms are full. My heart is overflowing. I get to experience all the little things I once prayed so desperately to experience.

And somehow, today, my heart also aches.

Because becoming a mother again didn’t erase the little boy I lost, and it never will. Having a healthy baby in my arms doesn’t mean I don’t wonder what life would look like if he were here, too.

There’s a strange kind of grief in motherhood after loss. You learn that joy and heartbreak can sit right beside each other. That you can be so unbelievably grateful for the life in front of you, while still missing the life you imagined.

I wish I could know the little boy who would be turning six today. I wish I could see what he would look like standing beside his brothers. I wish I could give him one of those birthday hugs, I wish I could physically feel him 😭

But today, I’ll hold his memory a little closer while I hold his little brother.

Six years later, you are still loved. You are still missed. And you will always be part of our story.

Happy 6th birthday in heaven, my sweet boy. Mommy loves you. Always. 🤍

To the mama holding her rainbow baby while quietly missing the one who made her a mama first: I see you. Both kinds of love can exist at once.🎂 by @paigewesslen

These boys have made me so so proud as we transition to a family of 5, they have been helpful, loving and so sweet to their brother and patient with me. I’m so grateful for these little souls that chose me to be their mama 🥹🤎

I also had to keep the part about Bodhi analyzing that the baby would need a car seat, he was already concerned about his baby brothers safety and I thought that was the cutest thing for him to say while he held him for the first time. It’s such an instinct to want to protect your baby siblings!! 🥺🫶🏻 by @paigewesslen

Short, condensed version of the 48 hour birth story

It was A LONG 3 days, and when I went in on September 27th with intense contractions, my water broke ON THE TABLE during an NST, it was wild 😂 and I thought for sure other labour signs would follow but little Maddox had to make things interesting and my cervix that likes to dilate when it shouldn’t decided it didn’t want to dilate when it should 😭🤍 so things moved slow and then all of a sudden they moved very very quickly.. so quickly that my OB missed the birth entirely and he was born in the hands of my nurse!! Which weirdly enough is exactly how I was born too.

We are so grateful he arrived safely 🫶🏻

You go in one person, and leave a completely different one, with a whole new life to care for and love.

You’ll never be the person you were before 🥹 and that’s kinda the whole point! Even on my 3rd baby, I meet parts of myself I didn’t know existed and learn and grow so much. 🤍 by @paigewesslen

Everytime I have a baby it’s like I meet a new version of myself while also getting to know a new human, as the rest of the world keeps spinning around us. 💫

In the postpartum fog & coming up for air. When you’re in the thick of it, you can be so hard on yourself. So if you’re here with me right now, I promise you’re doing better than you think. Soak it innnnnn & trust the process & don’t forget to worry about you too while you care for this new life you just created! 🫶🏻 by @paigewesslen

I’ve got a whole line up of birth & postpartum chronicles ready to share but I’m just going to leave this here because this may seem like a small accomplishment but this is the first baby I haven’t supplemented with formula in the first 48 hours.

He’s small, he had a moment last night when I almost caved and I just kept putting him back on the breast, rotating sides til he settled. For someone who’s struggled with low supply, seeing him settle from my colostrum was a huge win!! So if you’ve ever felt like giving up, and didn’t, I solute you.

A fed baby is always a healthy baby and zero judgement to how you get your baby fed, I’m just trying different things with baby #3 and hoping it brings a better supply in this time! Who knows?!

I may not have slept but you rewarded me with a 3 hour nap this morning lol so go us!

On today’s episode of things I really shouldn’t be doing but felt the sudden urge to do to prepare for a baby…. Rearranging the new play area at the new house 😂

But when I catch the vision, it’s game over, always!! Could I have waited til Allen was home later? Absolutely not lol

36 weeks pregnant today, so should probably start packing hospital bag now that that’s done lmao by @paigewesslen
