I genuinely used to think freedom meant being able to do whatever I wanted.

No rules. No restraints. No authority.

Free as a bird…

…in a cage.

I used to enter every room searching—

—For the person who might save me.
The next thing that might heal me.
Peering into the bottle, hoping somewhere at the bottom of the glass I’d find peace, joy—and somehow make sense of everything.

Always always searching.

And then, there was Him.

Jesus didn’t give me the strength to change.

He changed what I wanted.

Things I had spent YEARS tied to suddenly lost their grip.

Washed clean like the rivers of the Jordan.

And in those waters, I’ve been reborn clean.

Sometimes I just cry with gratitude for everything He brought me from.

The search is over. I’m home.

And trust me, before that, I was such a skeptic. I used to think Christianity was one giant list of NOs.

No sex.
No drugs. No fun. No joy.
No this. No that.

No. No. No.

But I was so busy staring at the NOs, I couldn’t see everything He was saying YES to.

Yes to peace.
Yes to clarity.
Yes to protection.
Yes to truth.
Yes to forgiveness.
Yes to purpose.
Yes to joy without needing a substance, a person, or an escape.

Yes to salvation.
Yes to eternal life.
YES to REAL freedom.

Turns out, God wasn’t asking me to give up life.

He was offering me one.

Like a Father telling His child not to touch the fire.

Not because He’s withholding some incredible fire-touching experience.

Because…

it burns.

Turns out, his boundaries were never cages.

They were protection.

I thought freedom meant belonging to no one.

Turns out, freedom was knowing exactly who I belong to.

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” — John 8:36 by @paigingthelamb

“Would you buy evil if you knew it was evil?”

Most people would say no.

I hope.

And that’s exactly why the creator of evil—

Spoiler alert: it’s Satan—

has a deceptive marketing scheme. One that he’s been fine tuning for 1000’s of years. Yes thousands.

He doesn’t market a lie as a lie.

He markets it as freedom.

Because if darkness walked up wearing a name tag that said:

“HI, I’M PURE EVIL. And today I’m selling eternal damnation in exchange for your soul.”

Most of us would run in the other direction.

He’d sell nothing.

So how does he do it?

He sells you freedom.

He says, Hey…

You create your reality.
You can manifest what you want.
The power is within you.
You hold the key.

And then comes the cheap trick.

He’ll give you some of the things you asked for and make you think you did it. The relationship appears.
The opportunity lands.
You ask for a sign—and there it is.

See? It works.

You manifested it.
You attracted it.
You created it.

You are the creator of your reality.

And the more it seems to “work,” the more you trust it.

That’s the way in.

Sound familiar?Because one of the oldest lies in the book, straight out of the devil’s mouth, was:

“You will be like God.” — Genesis 3:5

Same product.

New packaging. And here’s the thing about deception:

You don’t know you’re being deceived.

That’s literally what makes it deception.I had no idea I was being deceived.

Not a clue.

And neither did the countless friends of mine who have recently come to Jesus.

None of us knew. We genuinely believed what we were doing and how we were living was helping ourselves and others.

Boy did we miss the mark.

We were all sold the same lie. All Completely utterly and entirely convinced it was the right thing.

Id love to take you through an analogy. So, You’re sitting in the audience at a magic show, and you watch someone disappear right in front of you.

Your eyes saw it.
You experienced it.
It looked completely real.

But from where you were sitting, you couldn’t possibly see everything or how it was done.

…The mirror.
The hidden compartment.
The trap door.
The distraction happening while your attention elsewhere.

I USED TO THINK THIS WAS SPIRITUAL AWAKENING.

When I was deep in spirituality, something subtle started happening.

I wasn’t suicidal. I wasn’t thinking about taking my own life.

It was more like:

“Okay. I’m good. I’ve experienced enough. I’m not really needed here anymore. This world is hard, and I don’t really want to do this anymore. God can take me whenever.”

And weirdly… it almost felt peaceful.

Like detachment. Like maybe I had spiritually transcended my attachment to being here. Like this was somehow part of “awakening.”

Looking back now, through the lens of Jesus, I’m like… wait. That was actually eerily off.

And then something similarly textured started happening.

At least three people I know who are still involved in the New Age/spiritual world independently said some version of the exact same thing to me:

“I think I’m done.”

“I’ve experienced what I needed to experience.”

“I could go now.”

Different people. Separate conversations. Same strange resignation toward life.

And eventually it clicked:

That this is absolutely not spiritual awakening and it certainty wasn’t from god.

That voice saying, “I’m done. I’m not needed here anymore. There’s nothing left for me,” was the voice of the enemy—the enemy who pulls us away from hope, life, and the purpose God has for us.

God says He has “plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11 ❤️ …Continued in Comments… by @paigingthelamb

I used to think I knew what truth was.

I used to think I knew who God was.

I used to think I knew who I was.

But all of that changed when I met Him.

Meeting Jesus turned everything I believed upside down. In surrendering to Him, I found the truth I had been searching for all along. I laid down my old life—not because I had all the answers, but because I encountered the One who is the answer.

I gave up everything to follow Him, to worship Him, and simply to be with Him.

This page is devoted to glorifying Jesus, sharing the story of what He’s done in my life, and pointing people to Him—not to me.

If there’s one thing I hope you know, it’s this: I’m not special. God’s invitation isn’t just for a select few. He pursued me, and He pursues you too. His love, His grace, and His mercy are for you just as much as they are for me.

If He could transform my life, He can transform yours too. by @paigingthelamb

Have you ever been loved in a way that made you realize you never truly understood love before?

Trying to describe this kind of love feels like trying to explain the ocean to a glass of water.

You can point to it.
You can experience a drop of it.
But you could never contain its fullness.

It reminds me of when my mom says, “I love you more than you’ll ever understand,” and I think, “Okay… sure.” And she always says, “No, you don’t get it. A parent’s love is different.”

Some love can’t be explained.
It lives in the felt.
And that is the closest comparison I can find for my relationship with Jesus.

Because his love is so stunningly different.

Incomparable. All consuming. Selfless and
Absolutely transforming.

…He humbles me.
He provides for me.
He listens to me.
He redirects me.
He holds space for me.
He empowers me.
He surprises me.

He is all of it. Does that mean there aren’t things I still need to address personally? Absolutely.

But instead of continuing to bring everything through myself — and searching through dozens of healing modalities, workshops, and experiences promising ultimate healing — I bring it to Him.

Because I realized:

I am not the medicine.

The medicine is not even the medicine.

But he is the medicine.

**And nothing created can take the place of the Creator. Period.**❤️…Continued in comments… by @paigingthelamb

Lovely to meet you 40. 🤍

This past year, I met thunder and bloom, death and restoration—heartbreak and heart-make.

I laid down a life I’d spent nearly a decade building. I walked away from my business and let go of my podcast. I moved across the country. I got sober from alcohol.

Jesus pursued me, and I fell deeply in love with Him.

I was baptized.

And then… I began again: a new podcast, a new job, a new life.

This year, self-reliance died—along with the endless searching for what only God could satisfy.

And in that surrender, I am finding the true definition of freedom, vitality, direction, peace, and a joy I never knew existed.

39 was a rebirth, and a lot of me….

But 40 is Yours——so here I am, Lord. Open hands. Open heart. My eyes on You.

Less of me, more of You—because you are everything good, pure, and true.

And, since you created me & every single thing I’ve ever truly loved, appreciated, and marveled at—and you know me more intimately than I know myself—I am giving it all to You: my wants, my desires, my dreams, my self-centeredness, my “I’ve got this,” my “let me handle it.”

I pray that you shape me, Guide me, Convict me. Transform me, Purify my intentions, Lead me where you want me to go… and I promise to do my best to listen.❤️

My “Spirit Guide” Was a Demon.

and here’s how I found out...

Years ago, I sat down to drop into a meditation. A woman suddenly appeared before me — brunette, laced into a goddess dress, standing in a forest. Her name was Helen, and she said she was my spirit guide.

She introduced me to a different type of breathwork. And, she kept coming. She held my hand when I was struggling, and gave me a dose of tough love when I was being dramatic. She felt like a gift. I genuinely believed she was there for me.

Then, she started coming more and more-Uninvited. The sessions I didn’t call her into, she’d appear anyway.

Years past. she was still visiting and at this point, I began to grow curious around Jesus, and this curiosity led me to perform an experiment.

I learned that scripture claimed to give us authority through Jesus to test the spirits.

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God.”— 1 John 4:1

So one day I sat down, brought Helen forward the way I always had — and I said:
“Helen, I demand in the name of Jesus Christ that you reveal yourself.”
Before I even finished the sentence, her eyes bulged. Her tongue turned into a serpent. Her eyes went dark. And she transformed into something monstrous.

Her name really was HELLen after all. 😅

I didn’t grow up knowing what spiritual warfare was. No framework, no armor, no warning. And because of that, I was tormented — vicous panic attacks, twisted thoughts I couldn’t explain or shake. I had no idea those things were being planted.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. — John 10:10

It’s dark to sit with. I know.

Here’s what I wish someone had told me sooner.

What true meditation actually is — not emptying yourself and waiting for something to fill the space, but filling yourself with the Holy Spirit. With the Word. The enemy loves an empty room. ❤️Cont in comments… by @paigingthelamb

I want to apologize.

I was sold a lie.
And because I believed it so deeply… I sold you one too.

For the last decade, I lived immersed in the New Age world.

A world where self-reliance was praised as liberation.
Where “love and light,” good vibes, plant medicine, manifestation, kundalini, sensuality, ascension, and self-worship were marketed as the path to awakening.

I was seeking.

I believed I was healing.
I believed I was awakening humanity.
I believed I was guiding people toward peace through self-love, self-healing, and inner enlightenment.

But the truth I’ve been shown is this:
I was doing the opposite.

What I thought was light slowly became a maze of mirrors.
Every workshop. Every ceremony. Every pursuit of “higher consciousness” kept bringing my eyes back to myself — my healing, my power, my awakening, my divinity.

I stared at the mirror of me for so long, I almost forgot who I was.

I believed no one was coming to save me.

Turns out… He was there all along.

This was the last thing I expected to happen.
I did not go looking for Christianity.
I did not go looking for Jesus.

But Jesus met me anyway.

And He shattered everything I thought I knew.

I used to think Jesus was merely a wise man.
I used to think I was god.
I was wrong.

I used to believe evil was unhealed trauma projected onto the world.
I was wrong about that too. Jesus began showing me that spiritual warfare is real. That deception is real. That Satan is real.

And one of the enemy’s greatest tactics is imitation.

Taking the language of God — and subtly twisting it into anything that takes your eyes off Jesus.

Corinthians 11:14 “Satan disguises himself as an angel of light”

I began looking deeper into the roots of the practices I once devoted myself to — Buddhism, kundalini, yoga, meditation practices. ❤️continued in comments.. by @paigingthelamb

Your body is speaking to you — are you ready to listen?

Feeling tired? That’s not just exhaustion — it’s communication.

An ache in your shoulder? That’s your body opening a conversation.

Something is asking to be felt. Seen. Not fixed or subdued with a pill.

Imagine your aching back as a friend, showing up at your doorstep in the middle of the night, trembling, begging to be heard.
When we ignore these deeper voices, we slam the door and leave them out in the cold.

But your body holds ancient intelligence — it’s not just tissue and bone. It’s an ecosystem of over 70 trillion cells, communicating through bioelectricity, hormones, water memory, and nerve signals at speeds faster than we can think. Your heart sends more messages to your brain than the other way around. Your gut has its own neural network — a “second brain.” Every part of you is in conversation with every other part.

Your body is not a machine. It’s a friend. A living oracle. A breathing prayer.

We are not minds floating in flesh or a soul in meat suit — but rather we are Intricate, elaborate symphonies of sensation, emotion, and memory.

Your heart has the capacity to feel, and remember. Your skin holds stories. Your belly speaks the truths your words haven’t yet formed.

And here’s the real magic:
We can talk back.
We can ask, “What are you trying to show me?”
We can hold a trembling part and whisper, “I’m here now.”
We can learn to hear the subtle language of sensation — tingles, tightness, warmth, fatigue — and recognize them as sacred messengers.

If you’ve never felt safe in your body…
If being in your body feels overwhelming or unfamiliar…
Let this be a gentle beginning.

You don’t have to dive in. Just start by placing a hand on your heart.
Feel your breath rise and fall.
Notice what’s here — without trying to change it.
That’s already a conversation. That’s already connection.

Your body is not your enemy.
It is not broken.
It is not too much.

It is your oldest friend, waiting for you to listen.

And when you do…it will show you the way home. by @paigingthelamb
