What Your Time Means to Your Child When I was growing up, creativity was always around me. My grandfather was an artist, and my mom loved to draw cartoons. But one of the things I remember most is that my mom would actually sit down with me and show me how to draw. At the time, I thought she was teaching me how to draw cartoons. Looking back, I realize she was teaching me something much bigger. She was giving me her time. She was telling me, without ever having to say it: I’m interested in what you’re interested in. Your ideas matter. You are worth stopping for. As parents, we can get so focused on everything that needs to be done that 20 minutes can feel impossible to spare. But to a child, those 20 minutes can mean something completely different. They can become a memory. They can build confidence. They can create conversations we might never have had otherwise. And sometimes, years later, our children remember those ordinary moments far more than we ever expected. That is one of the biggest reasons behind Paintbox Adventures. I want to make it easier for busy parents to stop for a little while, sit beside their child, and create something together, without having to spend hours searching for ideas or preparing an elaborate project. Because the art is wonderful. But the time together is the part that matters most. #PaintboxAdventures #MakingMemories #CreativeKids #CreativePlay #MomLife by @paintboxadventures

“Mom, I don't know what to draw!” Sound familiar? 😂 Sometimes asking a child what they want to draw is like asking them what they want for dinner. Suddenly, they have absolutely NO ideas. Here's a little trick: Don't give them the answer. Give them a starting point! A silly question, a funny character, or one little “What if...?” can get those creative wheels turning. And before you know it, there's a penguin in a cowboy hat or a superhero whose greatest power is turning broccoli into ice cream. That's one of the things I love most about creating Paintbox Adventures. Every adventure gives kids a little spark of inspiration, then lets their imaginations take it from there. No perfect pictures required. Just creativity, curiosity, and a little fun! 👉 Swipe for 3 fun drawing prompts to try with your little artist! 🔖 Save this post for the next time you hear, “I don't know what to draw!” 💬 What's the funniest thing your child has ever drawn? #PaintboxAdventures #KidsArtActivities #CreativeKids #DrawingIdeasForKids #ScreenFreeFun #KidsCreativity #MomLife by @paintboxadventures
