The Essence of WangoWango: Moments; composed by Design

We’ve gone quiet quite a bit, but we are super excited to announce that something is brewing in WangoWango nation and we can’t wait, with purpose & anticipation, to welcome you to our place in the bush, within nature, in the countryside, at Camp RE, at our next escapade; ‘Restore in Nature’ - a public health & wellness event coming off the weekend of March 27 - 29. 2026.

For over 2 decades, we’ve been orchestrating concierge assistance, escorting visitors across the length and breadth of our beloved country, showing off our most remarkable sights, engaging communities and interacting with locals delving into the source of the narrative for deeper understanding & appreciation.

It is after that the WangoWango - our philosophy of combining gastronomy + exploring to generate a palpable sense of contentment - begins, drawing on our experience & expertise to curate unforgettable camaraderie stories while exploring, leaving lasting memories of wherever we find ourselves; atop a mountain, by a waterfall or waterfront, in the bush, on a farm or at the seashore, anywhere in the wilderness… orchestrating stress-free heritage engagements that are savvy and friendly. by @pajohn.s

Bentsifi’s
’Akofo Sunsum; the cure of the Breeze’ by WangoWango

No visit to Ghana by anyone from the African diaspora is complete without experiencing aspects of the relics of the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade dotted across Ghana.

On today’s itinerary, “Derrick” experienced Bentsifi’s "Akofo Sunsum; the cure of the Breeze" by WangoWango - a sober occasion featuring the 'Healing Luncheon Conclave' hosted on the shores of Elmina’s beach, where after visitations with the dungeons that once held our forebears captive, you have a moment, solemn and reflective, of nourishment, commemorating the ever present resilience, and triumphant spirit of African people everywhere.

Commencing with the immersive visit to the Assin Manso Ancestral Gardens - site of ‘Ndonko Nsuo’, the river where captured folk sold into slavery being taken down to the forts for onward transportation across the Atlantic were made to have their last bath, we ended the day at the ‘Door of No Return’ at the Dungeons in Elmina Castle.

“Unforgettable,” was all the remark he could muster!

There’s a shift that happens when you get hang out with authentic people… “Derrick” found himself overwhelmed with delight on WangoWango.
