In a world becoming more automated, showing up still matters.

For @MWimbridge, what makes Pantaenius UK different is the time spent out in the boating community - at events, on the water and utilising our experienced skippers - alongside taking the time to understand what each customer needs from their insurance partner.

➡️Technology can support that.
🎯It cannot replace boating knowledge, relationships or personal service. by @pantaenius_uk

➡️You wouldn’t head to sea without a lifejacket.
❓So why head out without attaching your kill cord?

As boating season ramps up, this is your reminder to wear your kill cord every time you take the helm - no matter how short the trip or how calm the conditions.

Most incidents don’t happen because people don’t know the risks. They happen because routine creates complacency.

Whatever boat you are running, a kill cord remains one of the simplest and most effective safety measures on board.

✔️Check it.
✔️Wear it.
✔️Test it.
⭐Every trip.

At Pantaenius, we believe safe, responsible boating is just as important as the insurance behind you. Because boating safety isn't just about experience - it's about habits.

🎯Stay safe this season.

⛵There's something special about buying your first boat.

After years of sailing and adventuring around the world, Kayleigh Brown has returned home to Scotland and become the proud owner of Enya, a 26ft Victoria yacht built in 1996.

Now she's preparing Enya for adventures around Scotland and beyond, sharing the highs, the lessons and everything she learns along the way.

What drew us to Kayleigh is the way she tells the whole story - the planning, the preparation and the moments that make time on the water so rewarding.

🐟She also donates 10% of the profits from her work to marine conservation projects across Scotland, helping to protect the coastline she's so passionate about.

If you haven't discovered Kayleigh's channel yet, her first video on board Enya is a brilliant place to start.

Not every boat claim is about damage to your own boat.

A difficult berthing manoeuvre could result in damage to another vessel, while an accident on board could lead to someone being injured.

Third Party Liability insurance is designed to protect you if you're held legally responsible for injury to others or damage to someone else's property.

❓But what about the risks that remain yours?

Understanding what your insurance covers is important. So is considering the financial consequences of what it doesn't and how much risk you're comfortable taking on yourself.

Eco-moorings need more than good intentions.🌿⚓

At Studland Bay, some of the seagrass scars caused by traditional anchoring have reduced by more than 90%. The UK’s largest eco-mooring site is clearly making a difference.

But around half of boaters using it are not paying the modest £7.50 four-hour or £15 overnight fee needed to help maintain the scheme.

These moorings protect the seabed while keeping this special part of Dorset accessible to boats. If we use them, we need to support them.

❓Have you used the Studland Bay eco-moorings? by @pantaenius_uk

📌Could you find your outboard’s serial number without going back to the boat?

As boats spend longer ashore and marinas become quieter, take a few minutes to photograph your outboard, electronics and other valuable equipment. Record the serial numbers, keep any receipts safely and check that locks and securing arrangements are still doing their job.

It will not prevent a theft, but it can help identify stolen equipment and give you the information needed to report a loss and support a boat insurance claim.

Two very different @Spirit_Yachts, both well worth seeing in person.

Mark White recently joined the launch of the fabulous new P50 Sport motor yacht at @stkatharinedocksmarina in London, having previously seen the craftsmanship behind the build at Spirit’s production facility.
She is certainly a striking new addition to their range!

The impressive Spirit C72 was also on display - a fitting showcase of modern design, skilled British boatbuilding and unmistakable Spirit heritage.

Thank you to the Spirit Yachts team for the invitation and such a warm welcome. by @pantaenius_uk

It hasn't all been plain sailing for Kayleigh and Enya this season.

A number of problems have meant bringing Enya out of the water earlier than planned, with plenty to address over the coming months.

But there have been plenty of highlights too, from some great sailing to taking Enya through The Crinan Canal by herself. And a challenging season has also taught Kayleigh a huge amount about her boat - what needs attention now, where she wants to build her own knowledge and what Enya needs before the next adventure.

Some of the areas identified in Enya's original survey, including the rigging and engine mounts, are now being addressed as part of her winter works.

It's a useful reminder that a marine survey doesn't just help you decide whether to buy a boat. It can help you understand what you're taking on, plan ahead and make informed decisions long after the keys are yours.

And if you're making significant changes over winter, it's worth checking whether your insurance company needs to know.

➡️What's at the top of your winter jobs list?
