“The Sun Shepherd and the Pest” - Yema offering some of her collected sunlight to a hungry little guy. Scroll for some more lore! - Since I started this story like 3 ish years ago, I’ve been wanting to go back to the source of the story, which is my home country of Brazil! I finally got my passport sorted out (took like a year, btw. Thanks, you absolute wanker of a government) and I was able to come visit my family this past week. I’ve had art and writer’s block for literally the entire year and I knew that even if I couldn’t write while in Brazil, being able to feel the brazilian breeze and elements would be enough inspiration to continue building my world. - #fantasycharacter #characterdesign #procreate “Suncatchers” are just one of the types of Alminé (coming from the word “Alma” - “soul” in Portuguese). They are gifted with the ability to collect reflected light and put their own Almin (soul energy) into it to give it back to the two suns of Tjãrná, strengthening them. - Gifted by the Solar Goddess, Kuatá, to protect her child (her “sun” if you will lol). The bigger sun supposedly contains the soul of Kuatá, while the smaller sun is the soul of her child. Kuatá is inspired by Kuat, the sun god of an indigenous Amazonian tribe (Mamaiuran). - For the longest time, the Miraquá were the only people known to possess this power because they worshiped the sun goddess and were entrusted with protecting the suns. Soon, the religion of Almairo and Suncatchers became more prominent throughout the world, with the Miraquá tribe being considered the most powerful and experienced. When they died out due to the massacre by the Nauston Empire, Suncatchers around the world began to go into hiding and without Solar Energy being cycled at the rate it used to, Tjãrná’s suns began to die. Naked lineart. - Umm. Other fun facts… The other Alminé in Tjãrná are: - Cloudshapers: In its most basic form, people with this ability can collect Almin from water to create clouds or vapor and use their own Soul Energy to recreate more water. More advanced Collectors can predict and manipulate weather and can also draw Almin from certain weather patterns. - Purifiers: Collect Almin from t by @paper.bindle

Doodles of my little guys from The Suncatcher story I’m working on! We’ve got: - Yema, a Miraq’i woman dedicated to sharing warmth during a time of war while searching for the family that left her behind. Collects the last bits of remaining sunlight from the dying suns with the hope of healing them. She is, in fact, THE Suncatcher from the title. So original. - Luan, a princess born of storms who has to decide if her faith in her country can be restored or if she must leave it behind. Yema’s gf lol. She’s a Cloudshaper, meaning she can manipulate the energy of weather patterns. - Zélia, a grief-stricken dreamer on trial for murder and is forced to use her skills for the Nauston Empire. ((yippee)) She’s a rare Dreamcatcher, so has the power to not only walk through one’s dreams and nightmares, but can collect the energy from them and manipulate them and/or place them in people’s heads. - Fernanda, don’t have a great description of this chick yet bc I honestly just came up with her design first BUT she’s what’s called a Purifier and uses plant “energy” to help clean up air and soil n tingz ✨ - Orchid, a former Nauston soldier who defected and throughout her journey of self-discovery, became a guardian of the Maldratheoa Forest. Doesnt have any cool powers rip - Oak, a young, mute child called “The Witch of Maldra” by Nauston soldiers. Little Ranger! so they can recycle the soul energy of animals to help keep the natural balance of the environment. The last two characters might look familiar 🤭 - #procreate #dnd #dndcharacter #dndart #worldbuilding #sciencefantasy #digitalart by @paper.bindle
