From the artist:
I am a multi disciplinary artist with disciplines across painting sewing. I have been painting since 5 years old, starting out in Singapore and now I'm based in Auckland, New Zealand. In my creative world I seek to create hybrid manifestations of myself, often blending surreal nature elements into a figure. It is dark, whimsical and highly personal to my character. I often like to hide tiny surprises in each artwork and blend together concepts that shouldn’t work together.

Arizona palette vibesss by @paperjahn

An obnoxious amount of color since i started this painting teaching job. Some of them dont turn out as good sometimes , but am enjoying the time to just experiment color palettes. Very non traditional color palettes by @paperjahn

These started of as just studies and then i couldnt resist adding a little extra here and there by @paperjahn

Fun lil experimentation with watercolors again and this time a rlly dark backdrop. Usually common sense tells me to not slap on a black backdrop on WATERCOLOR, its like a cardinal sin.

Trying out two versions of the same watercolor tonite. On the first slide was todays practice run. Ive learnt not to be so heavyhanded, coz its not like acrylic. The second slide is the reevaluated version. Gonna try something new.

Magawsh its been forever since my last watercolor. Today was a major relearning curve. Have yall had similar experience? Picking something up after a long time
