Congratulations to our co-founder @nicole_taryn for receiving the 2026 Daniel Zwier Permaloc Innovation Scholarship from the @lafoundation!

Taryn continues to drive the mission for more BIPOC led sustainable landscaping in Chicago. As they continue to pursue their Masters in Landscape Architecture, we’re tremendously proud to work alongside them.

Well deserved! by @parableofthegrower

Our crew had the amazing opportunity to witness the beauty and power of @seedsthedoc at the Black Harvest Film Festival.
“Seeds is a portrait of Centennial farmers
in the geographical south.
Using lyrical black and white imagery, this meditative film examines the decline of generational black farmers and the significance of owning land.”

The cinematography was absolutely breathtaking. This film is a love letter to the villages that are created among Black family farmers in the South.

Missed us? We’ve been busy building gardens, keeping our hands in the soil, and recently had the opportunity to attend Black Urban Farmers and Gardeners Conference BUGs @blackurbangrowers. We were there to remember, reunite, and bask in Black-led land and food sovereignty. And just as important, we experienced joy in very challenging times. We also visited and shopped at @detroitpeoplesfoodcoop a Black and member-owned community grocery cooperative providing healthy food and food education to Detroit residents.
