This change has been a long time coming, and Phantom of the Opera will forever be my most cherished association. However, with the increase in algorithmic censorship, Iโ€™ve grown concerned that including a sensitive term in my handle is not of benefit to long term branding and growth. In regards to branding and growth, itโ€™s apparent that Iโ€™ve pigeonholed myself into a very small niche. Iโ€™ve been told that I shouldnโ€™t cosplay from content sources that bring me joy because those sources are associated with โ€œcringyโ€ fandoms, so they โ€œexpect betterโ€ from me. Iโ€™ve also been told that I shouldnโ€™t โ€œregressโ€ and work to overcome my perfectionism by creating for fun, non-craftsmanship or competition oriented cosplays. I adore historical cosplay. I like drama, details, accuracy, skill development, and challenging myself as a craftsman. I do not like that Iโ€™ve restricted myself to creating cosplays that fit into genres my work is already associated with, like historical or gothic or 100% accuracy. For those reasons, I want to shift my cosplay trajectory and focus on applying myself towards exploring cosplays Iโ€™ve avoided due to that self-imposed niche pressure. I want to post more progress, and more in general! This does not mean I wonโ€™t be making fancy, historical, deeply romantic and highly detailed cosplays, but I want to expand my horizons and share all aspects of cosplay that bring me joy! Plus, I love tropical vibes and aesthetics, and paradise is whatever you make it out to be. Iโ€™ll always be the ๐”’๐”ญ๐”ข๐”ฏ๐”ž ๐”Š๐”ฅ๐”ฌ๐”ฐ๐”ฑ ๐”ด๐”ฆ๐”ฑ๐”ฅ ๐”ฑ๐”ฅ๐”ข ๐”๐”ฌ๐”ฐ๐”ฑ. ๐Ÿ–ค by @paradisecosplay
i have some thoughts yall! needless to say imho, cosplay competitions are part of what make this community so great. the learning of craft, lifeskills, and sportsmanship are so unparalleled in this little niche of ours. itโ€™s not about who can make ten billion tiktoks with ten zillion cosplayers (shallow ahh comment by stellachu). itโ€™s not about the spread of the reach, itโ€™s the depth. who knows how what you showcase will affect others. @headwitchsora.cos cosplayed zanka in the ichi competition and i was like ooh the design is sick and went home and watched gachi and now thatโ€™s my new passion project. very circle of life, and i love it ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿซถ every one of u guys is a โญ๏ธ #cosplay #cosplaycompetition #craftsmanshipcosplay #cosplayer #cosplayer by @paradisecosplay

HAPPY ATTACK ON TITAN DAY!!!!!!!!! idek where to startโ€ฆive been into and cosplaying from aot since 2014! this piece of media is so important to me and so close to my heart. like hereโ€™s your fixit erejean and ALSOโ€ฆ itโ€™s full of incredible storytelling and the characters can teach us so much about ourselves, especially today with the choices weโ€™re being asked to make every day as history writes itself. to 100% be kinnie on main, jean is me, i am jean, i have a lot of opinions about choice. ive navigated so much loss and hardship and growth. the experiences throughout the story show following that path, the path of selflessness, leadership, and determination, is inevitably whatโ€™s right and whatโ€™s purposeful and fulfilling. you know whatโ€™s right in your gut, follow your intuition! there are so many lessons illustrated about love and community and overcoming adversity and making choices based on the betterment of all rather than the self, and it IS that deep!!! go watch the giant cannibal monster biblical allegory show and do a journal prompt istg itโ€™ll change your life ๅฟƒ่‡“ใ‚’ๆงใ’ใ‚ˆ!๐Ÿงฃ๐Ÿ—๏ธ๐Ÿชฝ #attackontitan #aot #attackontitanday #aotcosplay #attackontitancosplay jeankirstein erenjaeger cosplay snk snkcosplay shingekinokyojincosplay aotday by @paradisecosplay
