Some insanely close results for STYLE at SPL5. I don't envy being the judges. It's probably the hardest job of the event.

Larry just barely squeezed into finals, and @parker_zebell with an insane comeback. Not to mention how close @ryry.abiang and Parker's final scores were

Curious about how returning athletes changed positions between USPK Nationals and SPL5? We were too!

This follows athletes who competed at both events across Skill, Speed, and Style. It was a fun first attempt at showing the story beyond a static leaderboard.

💬Did any of these results or position changes surprise you? What would you want to see compared next?

I'll admit I'm not happy with how the visuals came out on this, but experimenting with new techniques and need to stop spending time on this lmao

Organizing a parkour competition? Send us a DM to see how ParkourScore can power the scoring and live results for your next event. by @parkourscore

Last weekend, ParkourScore was used at the USPK Nationals.

A big focus leading up to the event was supporting rank point scoring for both the new Combo format and Speed. Those formats introduce a lot of scoring complexity behind the scenes, and I spent a lot of time making sure rankings, points, and results were calculated correctly.

In this video, I walk through how those scoring systems work and why they were built that way.

The platform keeps getting better with every competition, and Nationals generated a huge amount of feedback that's already turning into improvements for future events.

⏫ Today's update:
I've already started implementing fixes and improvements based on feedback from USPK Nationals, with plenty more still planned.

❓ Question:
If you've competed or judged before, what scoring format do you think is the hardest to explain?

🚧 Why Speed Matters More Than People Think - Day 3/30

Every extra 20 or 30 seconds between athletes might not seem like much.

But over the course of a competition, those small delays can easily add up to an extra hours of waiting.

That impacts everyone.

Athletes spend more time cooling down between warm-up and competition runs.

Spectators spend more time waiting for action.

And organizers end up with a longer, slower event.

One of the goals of ParkourScore is reducing friction so competitions can move faster without sacrificing accuracy.

The platform has already been used at 7 competitions and will be used by @sportparkour at the @uspka Nationals next week.

⏫ Today's update:
I've been working on getting Ranked Combo round scores to flow seamlessly into event rankings and live dashboards

❓ Question:
What's the biggest source of delays you've seen at a parkour competition?

🚧 The Number One Reason I Built ParkourScore - Day 2/30

The original problem I set out to solve wasn't registration, rankings, or live results.

It was skill community rounds.

If you've ever hosted a skill competition, you've probably dealt with athlete scorecards. They give athletes visibility into their progress, but they also create a huge amount of work for judges and staff.

Keeping track of attempts, completions, and collecting scorecards at the end of the round can slow competitions down and create opportunities for mistakes.

That frustration is what originally led me to start building ParkourScore.

The goal is simple: help competitions run smoother, faster, and more accurately while creating better visibility and a better experience for athletes, spectators, judges, and event organizers.

The platform has already been used at 7 competitions and will be used by @sportparkour at the @uspka Nationals next week.

I'm @sethjumps, a parkour athlete, software engineer, gym owner of @swiftmovementstudio, and competition organizer of @midwestparkour.uspk who has organized more than 50 competitions over the years.

For at least 30 days, I'll be sharing the process of building ParkourScore, including features, lessons learned, mistakes, and behind-the-scenes decisions.

⏫ Today's update:
I've been working on making sure that judges and admins have realtime updates using web sockets so that they can see as soon as another judge updates a score for the community round.

❓ Question:
How do you currently track community rounds?
