Small changes in tooth proportions can make a noticeable difference to a smile. 🦷 For this patient, composite veneers were used to refine the differing lengths and proportions of the front teeth, creating a more even appearance while keeping the result natural. Treatment was carried out by Dr Mike Gray, Dentist with a Special Interest in Cosmetic Dentistry and Oral Surgery. The focus was on subtle changes that worked with the patient’s existing smile rather than changing its character. πŸ’¬ Could composite veneers be an option for your smile? Did you spot all 3 words? 🦷 β€œWhitening”, β€œZoom” and β€œshade” were hiding in this one. But when it comes to teeth whitening treatment, there is more to consider than simply choosing how bright you would like your smile to be. Your starting shade, sensitivity, tooth condition and existing dental work can all influence which approach may be suitable. At Parkway Clinic, we can assess your teeth and discuss whether Zoom Whitening or another teeth whitening treatment option may be appropriate for you. Save this if you are thinking about whitening your teeth. The scan can change the next step. 🦷 When planning for a dental implant, what we can see above the gum is only part of the picture. A scan can show details that may affect the treatment plan, like bone width, bone height, sinus position, nerve position, neighbouring roots or old areas of infection. At Parkway Clinic, our dental implant team includes Dr Prash Vasudevan, Dr Hesham Emam, Dr Cianna O’Brien and Dr Jo Saele, bringing together careful assessment and digital planning before treatment options are discussed. Save this if you are looking into dental implants. πŸ’¬ Did you know a scan could change the implant plan? Finished Invisalign but noticed your teeth starting to move? 🦷 Wearing your retainers as advised is an important part of maintaining your result after treatment. But even with good retainer wear, some people may still notice changes in their tooth position over time. If your retainer suddenly feels tighter, looser or no longer fits as it used to, it is worth getting it checked rather than waiting to see what happens. Dr Ellis Davies, Dr Scott Smith and Dr Theo Stennett, Invisalign Providers at Parkway Clinic, can review your teeth and retainers to assess what may have changed and advise you on the next step. πŸ’¬ Already wearing retainers and noticed a change? Save this if your teeth have shifted after Invisalign. It was never just about the teeth. 🦷 It is the job interview, the wedding, the birthday, the first photo you actually want to smile in. Sometimes dental care is about addressing something that has been affecting how comfortable you feel with your smile. At Parkway Clinic, we understand that behind every appointment, there is usually a reason that feels personal. πŸ’¬ What moment would make you want to feel more confident in your smile? That β€œdead tooth” phrase sounds worse than it is. 🦷 A tooth that has had root canal treatment no longer has living pulp inside it, but that does not mean the whole tooth is useless. The tissues around the root are still living, and the tooth can still work for biting and chewing once it has been treated and restored properly. Dr Pedro Leite helps patients understand what root canal treatment actually does and why it can often help save a natural tooth. Save this if you have heard the phrase β€œdead tooth” and wondered what it really means. πŸ’¬ Have you ever been told you might need root canal treatment? This is your veneer care announcement. Please remain seated. ✈️🦷 Veneers can provide a long-lasting change to the colour, shape and proportions of your teeth, but they still need ongoing care. Regular dental and hygiene appointments allow the veneers, their margins and the surrounding gums to be monitored. If you grind your teeth, a protective night guard may also be recommended to reduce unnecessary pressure. And if a veneer chips, moves or begins to feel different when you bite, arrange a review rather than waiting for it to become uncomfortable. πŸ’¬ Which veneer reminder would you add to the announcement? Another set of aligners? It doesn’t mean your Invisalign treatment has gone wrong. 🦷 Sometimes teeth need a little more adjustment than originally planned. Invisalign refinements allow Dr Ellis Davies, Dr Scott Smith or Dr Theo Stennett to review your progress and plan additional aligners where needed. Think of it as fine-tuning, not starting again. πŸ’¬ Have you heard of Invisalign refinements before? β€œI was also able to hold the dental nurse’s hand.” πŸ₯ΉπŸ«‚ Sometimes, reassurance during dental treatment comes from the smallest gestures.
