The 23rd episode of FlowCast comes from New York. Wired through human imagination, the mix by @passwardy unfolds as a minimalism-to-maximalism composition, expanding from stripped-back forms into a wall-of-sound.

Opening in deep, textural space, fragments of bass, dub atmospheres, and hypnotic percussion form slow-moving sonic structures. The session pays tribute to early foundations of tripping sound, tracing a lineage from Juno Reactor (Metropolis Records) to Rockers Hi-Fi (Kruder & Dorfmeister Dub / G-Stone).

A labyrinth of evolving transitions in search of unseen frequency fusion, for the dancefloor and the space between thoughts.

All is in flux. Nothing remains still.

Performances move between deep-listening and dance-floor contexts. Releases on Backpocket Slammers, Diffuse Reality Records, and The DJ’s Daughter document an evolving sonic language rooted in change, presence, and transformation.

About the mix:
Works from inside sound already in motion. Structure remains open. Attention gathers around density, timing, and presence. Rhythm surfaces, loosens, fades. Texture and space begin to carry weight. Time shifts perception on its own.

My Paris apartment last summer came with a beautifully resonant 19th-century Erard piano. When @passwardy of @the_djs_daughter proposed another collaboration, instead of having the piano tuned, I let the accidental temperament take a life and expression of its own. The result became a distinct dialogue between the human and the machine.

Warmly welcoming Passwar D into the fold. After premiering his latest release via @SpiritsOfWater, we discussed working together further, which has resulted in a free download on Hohm. Later to be compiled onto CD as a gift with our second magazine at the end of the year.

Featuring the accomplished pianist “Magdalena Baczewska”. Combining slightly off-tune piano progression, layered with a percussion heavy instrumental that features evolving whirring synths throughout. Merging classical with modern, human with machine. A musical commentary on life.

Passwar D - When rhythm no longer rises or falls premiere @gallerymcnyc, New York, Jan 18 ’26.

Omdre

Rhythm was shaped by uneven ground, by daily movement across rising and falling land. Walking trained the body into asymmetry, and asymmetry became rhythm, thought, and culture.

Omdre imagines a future after environmental collapse, where a massive quake flattens Earth. Without ascent or descent, the body loses its broken rhythms. Sound no longer rises or falls, but spreads across in wide, sustained fields.

Hybrid monk survivors gather within this landscape, performing a chant not of transcendence, but of adaptation, a ritual formed when the land no longer teaches rhythm. taken in Gallery MC by @the_djs_daughter
