Friends! ✨️ I have never been prouder in my life! It is not just a pig, but a great honour that 🌸Patch's Piggy Trust🌸 is the OFFICIAL CHARITY PARTNER 🩷 of 🎪PiggyFest🎪 @guineapigfestival 🍿🎉 ✨️💞 Come and say hello to us at our stall! ✨️💞 🩷 I am extremely grateful to everybody who has so kindly and generously supported 🌸Patch’s Piggy Trust🌸 enabling us to make pig donations to rescues at times of crisis and to pay for piggies' medical treatment and life saving surgeries! 🩷 I am humbled and thankful for the unwavering support of Rik and Helen @haypigs ❤️ and Naomi at @guineapigmagazine 💙 from the very start. 🩷 I would like to thank every single wonderful human who has helped me in any way with my charity so far. 🩷 As one small piggy in a big and at times scary world, I am so proud to have been able to help so many fellow members of my species. But I couldn't have done any of it without the support of amazing humans! 🩷 It all started when me and Immy went on a boat to the Isle of Wight ⛵️⚓️ to visit @gigglepigs_sanctuary 🩷 Tara's utterly selfless devotion inspired us to try and do more for piggies in need. 🩷 In carrying out our work, we will never forget Pudding and Autumn, the piggies in desperate need of help, right at the start. ~ Lots of love, Patch 💕 Founder of: 🌸Patch's Piggy Trust🌸 (Registered charity no.1214323) Official charity partner of 🎪PiggyFest🎪 Ambassador for: 🩷 @gigglepigs_sanctuary 🩷 #guineapigcharity #guineapigs #piggiesofinstagram #guineapigsofinstagram #piggyfest 🌸https://patchpiggytrust.com/🌸 by @patchpiggytrust
Thank you to everyone who's supported Patch in all of her hard work over the last year! I am incredibly proud of her. It's just amazing that a little piggy from Long Eaton has managed to do so much good in the world because of her kind and caring personality. She helped me so much as a baby, when I was very ill, and it's now an honour to assist her as she helps other piggies. I have never met anyone quite like Patch. She amazes me every day with her incredibly deep capacity for love, boundless joy, enthusiasm, intelligence, common sense, friendliness, kindness, selfless empathy and a desire to comfort others of all species. What has always surprised me most is her love of adventure, meeting new people and seeing new things. It is uncharacteristic of her species but has come about because of our incredible bond. Whilst it may be unusual and even difficult to comprehend, what it does show is how much people underestimate guinea pigs as a species and why it's so important to do our best to protect them. I love you forever Baby BigMouse, I couldn't be prouder of you. Immy 💚 by @patchpiggytrust
Friends! 💕✨️ This wheek is Guinea Pig Awareness Week #gpaw and Bandit 🖤🤍 is feeling very cheerful after recovering from her surgery, so she's put together some information in her usual cheerful, cheeky, rebellious way, to give humans some things to consider when it comes to looking after piggies! ⚠️ Please note, not all of Bandit's suggestions should be taken seriously and ⚠️tissues should never be eaten! ⚠️(Having said that, I try to eat tissues, I can't help myself, but Immy always stops me!) 🩷 For great piggy care advice, there are a lot of resources and I think there's always so much more to learn. A great place to start is with my friend @littlecritterlucy book - The Happy, Healthy Guinea Pig Guidebook by Lucy Medway. As well as being a great place for new PigParents to start, there is still so much new information for experienced PigParents to learn! ~ Lots of love, Patch 💕 Founder of: 🌸Patch's Piggy Trust🌸 (Registered charity no.1214323) Official charity partner of 🎪PiggyFest🎪 Ambassador for: 🩷 @gigglepigs_sanctuary 🩷 #guineapigcharity #guineapigs #piggiesofinstagram #guineapigsofinstagram 🌸https://patchpiggytrust.com/🌸 by @patchpiggytrust
Friends! 💕✨️ More about hobbies! 🩷 I forgot to mention that as well as looking at swimming pools, churches and types of transport, my other hobby is choosing my food at the shop! 🩷 I know the word shop (pronounced "shoP"). I get very excited when I hear it because it's the place frilly lettuce comes from! 🩷 Nowadays the only lettuce 🥬I can eat so I don't get soft poos is frilly lettuce. Immy takes me to a place called Waitrose to buy it because the packets from other supermarkets often have wilting and rotting pieces in them. Immy worries a lot about me getting bloat. 🩷 I love being in the salad aisle! 🥗 I get "very boisterous," putting my paws up on my bag and waving my nose high! 🩷 The first time I wheeked in a shop, Immy looked really surprised! I enjoy meeting staff and so many of the humans working in supermarkets have been so pleased to meet me! 🩷 As well as Waitrose, I also like going to Aldi! I have been to 9 different Aldis, including one in Italy 🇮🇹 which was where I first wheeked. Immy thinks it was because I was especially excited, enjoying spending time in the Dolomites. 🩷 I usually go to shops in my big bag, but if we've got a lot to carry, I leave my big bag in the car and transfer to my smaller one. 🩷 I hope I can go to a shop again soon! It's getting cold ❄️ in the UK and Immy says I'll have to start having my hot water bottle in the bottom compartment of my bag again soon. ~ Lots of love, Patch 💕 Founder of: 🌸Patch's Piggy Trust🌸 (Registered charity no.1214323) Official charity partner of 🎪PiggyFest🎪 Ambassador for: 🩷 @gigglepigs_sanctuary 🩷 #guineapigcharity #guineapigs #piggiesofinstagram #guineapigsofinstagram by @patchpiggytrust
Friends! 💕✨️ I love looking at swimming pools, it's one of my hobbies! 🏊‍♂️👙 🩷 Have you ever seen a swimming pool? I have and I find them fascinating! I love staring at them for ages, looking at the blue glow and listening to the calming sound of the water swishing. I like to doze on my blanket with the sound in the background. 🩷 I also find it especially interesting if humans are in them! The first time I saw heads floating about, I did what Immy calls "a double take," looked over my shoulder and waved my nose at her, then carried on looking. It made me so happy when I recently visited my favourite swimming pool, by the lake at SoHo Farmhouse and the swimmers saw me and waved to me! I was raising my nose so high to acknowledge them and then I licked Immy's nose! 🩷 Because I like looking at swimming pools so much, Immy always makes sure I get to see if we're somewhere with one! 🩷 As well as looking at swimming pools and types of transport, my other hobby is looking in churches. I find them mesmerising, so if we pass one, we always go in. I'm not sure how many churches and chapels I've been in, but Immy says probably about 20! ~ Lots of love, Patch 💕 Founder of: 🌸Patch's Piggy Trust🌸 (Registered charity no.1214323) Official charity partner of 🎪PiggyFest🎪 Ambassador for: 🩷 @gigglepigs_sanctuary 🩷 #guineapigcharity #guineapigs #piggiesofinstagram #guineapigsofinstagram by @patchpiggytrust

💕✨️Hay donations sent! ✨️💕 🩷 Thanks to my incredible friend @fransfloofs who arranged the PigParent meetup and cupcake sale, we raised enough money to send out 100kg of hay to rescue piggies! 🩷 💞 I think this is absolutely amazing and just goes to show what the generosity of kind humans can achieve! 💞 💖 This amount of hay can feed 100 rescue piggies for a month!! 💖 🌸 I placed orders with @naturesownpetsdevon for many 3.5kg bags of hay, which have been sent to our friends at: 🩷 @mansfield_guinea_pig_rescue 🩷 @siansguineapigrescue 🩷 @furry_potatoes_rescue 🩷 @cheshireguineapigrescue 💞 I'd like to say an incredibly pig thank you, on behalf of my species and the rescue residents, to every single kind human who so generously donated! 💖 Every donation makes a difference, however pig or small and these hay deliveries show how much humans can do when they come together to help rescue piggies! 💞 ~ Lots of love, Patch 💕 Founder of: 🌸Patch's Piggy Trust🌸 (Registered charity no.1214323) Official charity partner of 🎪PiggyFest🎪 Ambassador for: 🩷 @gigglepigs_sanctuary 🩷 #guineapigcharity #guineapigs #piggiesofinstagram #guineapigsofinstagram by @patchpiggytrust
Friends! 💕✨️ I'm pumpkin Patch again! 🎃🌙🖤 Hallowheek is Immy's favourite time of the year! 💚🖤 I absolutely love pumpkins! I particularly like to look at very brightly coloured things and I find the bright orange colours fascinating! 🧡 I especially like to stare at pumpkins and to sniff them! ✨️ I really enjoyed my day out with my Auntie Olivia and Uncle Phil, who I love very much, visiting a very nice place called Welbeck Abbey. There is a farm shop (I love farm shops) and beautiful scenery! 🌙 As soon as we got out of the car I was extending my nose so high to take in the wonderful countryside air that Immy said I looked like a tripod! 🧡 I like pumpkin displays very much, so if there is one anywhere, Immy always makes sure I get a proper look! 🖤 When I look at interesting things, I take my time to look very carefully at all the details and take everything in. When I've seen as much as I want to, I then turn my body towards Immy to tell her I've finished looking and I'm ready to go back in the bag. Sometimes I want to spend 5 minutes looking at something, other times I might want to spend half an hour! 🖤 With pumpkins, I always want to spend ages staring at them and sniffing them! I've never actually tried eating one before, so I don't know what they taste like. 👻🎃 I am excited for Hallowheek because Immy gets especially cheerful around that time of year and when she's in a really good mood, I popcorn a lot! 🍿 ~ Lots of love, Patch 💕 Founder of: 🌸Patch's Piggy Trust🌸 (Registered charity no.1214323) Official charity partner of 🎪PiggyFest🎪 Ambassador for: 🩷 @gigglepigs_sanctuary 🩷 #guineapigcharity #guineapigs #piggiesofinstagram #guineapigsofinstagram 🌸https://patchpiggytrust.com/🌸 by @patchpiggytrust
Friends! 💕✨️ Last wheek, I visited a very nice place called Soho Farmhouse, which is located in the Costswolds, a very beautiful part of the UK! 💞 Our human friend Chris very kindly invited us because I'd been before and liked it so much! 🩷 I slept all the way there, so I was full of beans when I arrived. When Immy opened the car door, I was waving my nose like mad, taking in the fresh countryside air! 🩷 I loved looking at the fields and the very interesting little pale blue vehicles driving people around. Immy said they were "old fashioned milk floats." 🩷 I really enjoyed dozing in the autumn sunshine in my blanket by the cafe and then Immy carried me so I could look at everything properly. I went into a beautiful greenhouse, sniffed flowers and nibbled some bits of piggy safe herbs in the herb garden! 🩷 Then Immy took me to see my favourite thing there! One of the things I'm most intrigued by and love to look at is swimming pools, even more so if there are human heads bobbing along in them! There is a very beautiful swimming pool adjoining a lake, which I've put up a pigture of in this post. I love looking at the pool and the lake next to it with lillypads and overhanging willow branches. 🩷 I was staring at the people in the swimming pool, waving my nose at them as a friendly gesture and to my surprise, they noticed me and waved back! I was so excited I waved my nose even higher and extended it towards them as much as I could! 🩷 I was a bit tired and Immy said I slept quite heavily all the way home, but as soon as we got home, I woke up and was full of beans again! As I get carried upstairs, I always start warbling in excitement. Immy was tired from our day out, but I started having the zoomies and what Immy calls "getting very boisterous!" 🩷 I really enjoyed my day out and I'm so happy when people invite me to go to places because they know I like them! ~ Lots of love, Patch 💕 Founder of: 🌸Patch's Piggy Trust🌸 (Registered charity no.1214323) Official charity partner of 🎪PiggyFest🎪 Ambassador for: 🩷 @gigglepigs_sanctuary 🩷 #guineapigcharity #guineapigs #piggiesofinstagram #guineapigsofinstagram 🌸https://patchpiggytrust.com/🌸 by @patchpiggytrust
Friends! 💕✨️ PigParents! 💞 🩷 I am SO happy that Immy had such an amazing day at the incredible Pignic for PigParents, organised by my wonderful friend Fran @fransfloofs 💖 Whilst I would have loved to have met everybody, I'm so pleased that Immy got to! I can't believe she even saw some of our friends twice in one wheek! ✨️ 🩷 I am extremely grateful to my friend Fran for being so kind in thinking of the idea to sell piggy cupcakes to raise some money for 🌸Patch's Piggy Trust🌸 It was a wonderful idea and so far, the PigParent Pignic has raised £113!!! ✨️ 🩷 I'd like to say a VERY PIG thank you to every single human who donated towards this incredible total! 🩷 Immy has told me to wait until next wheekend, just in case anybody else would like to make a donation, then she is going to help me work out how many bags of hay I can afford to buy, so I can then send them out to different rescues across the country! 🩷 If you'd like to help us raise our total so we can send out some extra bags, my charity's PayPal is @patchpiggytrust and there is also a PayPal checkout on my website- patchpiggytrust.com 🩷 I think it's just amazing what a wonderful community we have here and it's incredible when humans come together to help piggies in need! ~ Lots of love, Patch 💕 Founder of: 🌸Patch's Piggy Trust🌸 (Registered charity no.1214323) Official charity partner of 🎪PiggyFest🎪 Ambassador for: 🩷 @gigglepigs_sanctuary 🩷 #guineapigcharity #guineapigs #piggiesofinstagram #guineapigsofinstagram 🌸https://patchpiggytrust.com/🌸 by @patchpiggytrust
Friends! 💕✨️ Here is Immy attending the Guinea Pig Welfare Forum on my behalf! 💞 I was very proud that she represented me and my charity by going to the conference to listen to the interesting discussions and information about piggy welfare! 🩷 🩷 Since a young age, I have been a passionate advocate for the welfare of my own species and it's so important for humans to take the subject seriously! 🩷 In my work for my charity, I am determined to speak up for piggies who don't have voices of their own and who have faced horrific welfare issues, cruelty and neglect, which has led to them having to seek refuge at rescues. 🩷 I am determined to be a part of a movement for change, for piggies to be valued and respected as individuals who have big and widely varying personalities, complex needs and are far more intelligent than most humans realise! ~ Lots of love, Patch 💕 Founder of: 🌸Patch's Piggy Trust🌸 (Registered charity no.1214323) Official charity partner of 🎪PiggyFest🎪 Ambassador for: 🩷 @gigglepigs_sanctuary 🩷 #guineapigcharity #guineapigs #piggiesofinstagram #guineapigsofinstagram 🌸https://patchpiggytrust.com/🌸 by @patchpiggytrust
