What’s one gift in your life you’re grateful for today?

For me, the ability to enjoy the people God has placed in my life and appreciate what I already have is itself a gift.

Ecclesiastes 5:19 reminds us that finding joy in what God has given us is a gift from Him. 🙏 by @patchyschmitt

True love brings calm, not anxiety; peace, not distress; and trust, not insecurity.
It cares, respects, supports, and wants to see you grow.

I see God’s blessings everywhere.🙌❤️ by @patchyschmitt

Grateful. 🤍
For many years, I thought I deserved the trials, the sadness, the heartbreaks, and challenge after challenge. I carried so many trust issues that I never even pictured myself getting married. Growing up with family dysfunction and the pain of having an alcoholic father shaped the way I saw love, and deep down, I didn’t believe someone could truly love me.

I used to say yes to everything just to please people, even when it hurt me. I wanted so badly to feel accepted that, many times, I forgot to choose myself.

Back then, I didn’t understand why I had to go through so much. But God knew.

He was preparing me, shaping my character, strengthening my heart, teaching me my worth, and making me into the person I needed to become to receive the beautiful things He had prepared for me.

Today, I’m grateful for what I have, for who I am, for the opportunities, for the paths I’ve taken, for my loving husband, for my family, for my American family, for my amazing friends, for the people in my life, for the lows and trials that led me here, and even for simply trying.

A grateful heart changes the way we see life. Sometimes, the things that once felt like they were breaking us were actually shaping us for what was ahead. And when we look back, we can finally recognize blessings that were there all along. 🤍

God knew then. God knows now. And I’m so grateful He never stops working in me. #grateful by @patchyschmitt
