Creating clears the mind It turns feeling into form Some days it flows Some days it breaks you But the beauty is in showing up In exploring something new every day And often, what blocks creativity is the fear of making a mistake Keep creating Be different Be real Be you #wabisabi #createtoclear #creativity #motivationforyou #mindfulness #beyou #beyourself #zenart #motivation #believe by @patrickvanriemsdijk

“THE POWER OF BELIEF BEYOND THE LIMITS OF THE MIND” - PATRICK VAN RIEMSDIJK When we started curating the art for @jasonstrauss residence project, and developing works we wanted to commission specifically for it, we knew almost immediately that @patrickvanriemsdijk had to be part of the story. What followed was a deeply collaborative process between us as designers, Jason as the client, and Patrick as the artist. Together, we explored different forms, colours, proportions and compositions until the piece felt completely right for the house. At 380 × 270 cm, the final work became Patrick’s largest piece to date. Its monumental scale pushed the process further, requiring him to develop new techniques and ways of working in order to bring the piece to life at this size. It went on to become one of the most expressive elements of the interior and, eventually, one of the symbols of the project itself. Along the way, Patrick created a series of smaller studies that helped shape the final work. We loved them so much that we kept a few, framed them, and they now live in our own home. Small fragments of the process behind something much larger. — Photos/videos: @santinolamorte / @patrickvanriemsdijk / Rôck&Villa #rockandvilla #contemporaryart #artcuration #commissionedart #collectibledesign by @patrickvanriemsdijk

Very grateful to see my work become part of this beautiful home in Las Vegas. A project by @rockandvilla for @jasonstrauss, bringing together art, design and craftsmanship in such a natural way. It’s always special to see a painting leave the studio and find its place in a space like this. Thank you for including my work in this incredible project. | Mountain of the Moon Exhibition | Patrick van Riemsdijk & Rogier Houwen Mountain, ocean, mist and sun. The dense earth and the open sea. ‘Mountain of the Moon’ brings together two practices shaped by landscape, observation and intuition. Patrick works through layers, while Rogier approaches it through photography, searching for relationships between what is seen and what is not. The two practices move in different directions, meeting somewhere between. Opening Saturday, 3 October 18h–22h Hum Gallery Quinta da Horta, Estrada Militar 38 Atelier 33, Camarate Exhibition continues until 15 November 2026 By appointment only @patrickvanriemsdijk @rogierhouwen by @patrickvanriemsdijk
