We are thrilled to begin unveiling Project X. A home we have poured our heart, expertise, and vision into over the past 18 months. Beautifully captured by @mike_chajecki , this project represents far more than the sum of its rooms. It reflects the trust of clients who have become dear friends, the evolving conversations that shaped the design, and the countless thoughtful decisions that allowed this home to unfold with intention and purpose.

And like all meaningful work, it took a village. An extraordinary group of trades, artisans, and partners collaborated with us at every stage, each bringing their own craft, precision, and pride to the process. We are deeply grateful for their talent and dedication, and immensely proud to have guided this project from first concept to final completion.

More glimpses of this journey are coming, and we are grateful to share them with you.

A bathroom can be practical by nature and still have an entirely individual personality.

For this principal ensuite, we moved beyond the expected spa aesthetic, embracing rich wood cabinetry, intricate patterned tile and earthy green floors to introduce warmth and character.

There’s something particularly inviting about a bathroom that takes its cues from the rest of the home, feeling just as personal, layered and thoughtfully considered as the spaces we live in every day.

There is something particularly compelling about a kitchen that embraces colour, craftsmanship and a little unexpected character.

For this design, we embraced the richness of deep blue cabinetry, pairing it with the warmth of stained wood, the character of aged brass and the subtle irregularity of handcrafted tile. Each material brings something different to the conversation, yet together they create a sense of balance that feels entirely natural.

What we love most is the relationship between the architectural details and the more personal elements. The sculptural range hood, substantial millwork and generous island establish the room's presence, while collected artwork, vintage pieces and everyday objects give it personality.

It's this interplay of precision and character that we find most compelling in kitchen design. A space can be beautifully considered in every detail and still feel wonderfully lived in.

There's something about this time of year that makes us appreciate the comforts of home just a little more.

As the last of the autumn leaves hold on and another season waits around the corner, we're finding every reason to linger a little longer in our favourite corners.

The richness of worn leather, generous layers of linen and wool, the warmth of natural wood and a fireplace that anchors the room. Add a few branches of beautifully coloured foliage, collected books and pieces with a little history, and suddenly the room feels perfectly suited to the season.

It's a reminder that creating a cozy home isn't necessarily about changing everything with the seasons. Sometimes it's simply about celebrating what makes a room feel inviting in the first place.

We have a particular passion for kitchen design. It's where our appreciation for beautiful craftsmanship meets our love of creating spaces that genuinely work for the people who call them home.

Regardless of the size or scale of a project, there are certain things we never compromise on. Thoughtful proportions, intelligent planning, quality materials and the finer details that give a space its character.

Here, richly stained wood, beautifully tailored millwork, sculpted brass hardware and natural stone come together in a kitchen that feels both established and entirely at home in the present.

For us, the beauty of a kitchen is how everything works together to effortlessly become part of everyday life. by @patti_wilson_design

There's something rather wonderful about a home that reveals a little more of its personality with every doorway.

Here, two offices sit opposite one another, each with a character entirely its own. One rich with pattern, texture and a little romance. The other more restrained, with warm wood, collected pieces and a distinctly masculine sensibility. Different expressions, yet there's a beautiful conversation happening between them.

For us, it's not about making adjoining rooms look alike. It's about understanding how they relate to one another. The continuity of wood tones, the warmth of the finishes and the thoughtful framing of each doorway allow the spaces to feel connected without sacrificing their individuality.

We've been exploring this very idea in our latest Blog, The Spaces We Move Through. Read more at the link in our bio.

As we soak up this beautiful fall weather, we know what's coming next. And while we're not quite ready to say goodbye to autumn, there's something pretty wonderful about watching the seasons change from the comfort of home.

A true four season space is about more than enjoying the view. It's about designing a room that feels equally inviting on a warm summer morning as it does during the first snowfall.

Here, expansive windows keep us connected to the landscape year round, while natural wood, textured stone, generous seating and a fireplace create warmth and comfort when the temperatures drop.

The landscape may change dramatically throughout the year, but the experience of being in this room remains every bit as beautiful.

We have a soft spot for pieces with a past. The ones with a little history, beautiful imperfections and a character all their own.

At PWD, we love finding ways to give these pieces a new chapter. Here, vintage finds bring warmth and personality to a space grounded by beautifully crafted millwork, while the interplay of warm wood and richly textured herringbone tile adds an unexpected layer of interest.

It's a balance we're quite particular about. Knowing when to introduce something old, when to refine with something new, and how to bring it all together in a way that feels effortless.

Because a home should have a little soul, and certainly a story or two to tell.

A room can be beautifully furnished and still feel like something is missing.

For us, that missing ingredient is often character. The kind that comes from mixing materials, textures and pieces that weren't necessarily made to sit together, but somehow belong.

In this space, the rugged texture of the stone fireplace and reclaimed timber beams establish a sense of history. We balanced that architectural weight with generously proportioned upholstery, softened the room with natural textiles and introduced collected objects, aged finishes and unexpected touches of colour.

There is a deliberate tension between the rustic and the refined, the substantial and the delicate. It's that interplay that gives the room its personality and keeps it from feeling overly designed.

Some of our favourite moments in a home happen in the spaces in between.

The morning rush, the familiar routine of coming and going, the little pause before the day begins.

A place to kick off your shoes, drop your bag or take a moment to yourself. We love when the most practical spaces in a home are also some of the most inviting.

Happy Sunday ✨
