POSTS STORIES REELS

As we head into the final stretch of the race season I wanted to take a moment to showcase some of the athletes I’ve had the pleasure of working with this year to help maximize their performance on race day.

1st 70.3 - Sam Lovern.

Sam is a true workhorse. Running his own coaching business - it took some time to dial in the most optimal training split with his schedule and workload, but he stayed focused, stacked week after week and was able to put up an amazing result for his first 70.3

Now Sam has his eyes set on IM Texas and the process has began once more, to build the fitness and fortitude to crush come race day.

1st 70.3 - Anthony Cona

Anthony came to me after a few months of training with ChatGPT. He knew he was putting in the work but wasn’t really sure where it was going and what to do next. We got right into some baseline testing then started building. Anthony did not miss a beat during his prep. He nailed every session to a T and put in the work week after week, and that was reflected on the course.

Super proud of Anthony and all that is to come in his pursuits of becoming an Ironman.

1st 70.3 - Tyler Beck

Tyler has been a best friend of mine for a long time, and I hate to admit I told Tyler in August of 2025 “you will never do a Half-Ironman”

I may have used reverse psychology. Tyler did not come from an athletic background, he surfed and skated and stayed in shape, but otherwise endurance sport was foreign to him - but he was willing to put in the work. Despite being a full time student, working a job AND an internship, Tyler absolutely nailed it. There were surely some rough Sundays after a long weekend where he had 3 hours on the bike, but Ironman is about showing up and that is what he did.

Super proud of you Tyler. Get fit for the Navesink Challenge now brotha.

Boulder 70.3 - Jaden Wood

Jaden came to me after racing Oceanside in March with a quick turnaround to Boulder. We got right to work testing FTP and really hammering on the bike. In only 8 weeks we were able to make great strides and PR the bike leg.

I’ve been working with Jaden leading up to IM California and he has absolutely crushed this entire build. Despite by @pattypedalss

Sometimes I feel like I’ve got it right in my hands
Sometimes I feel like I’m no where close to having it sometimes I don’t know even know what “it” is

At the end of the day I think that’s what this is all about. To be on the road, in the middle of the process, engulfed by the work and the dream - getting after it.

I know one day I’ll look back and say man the things I’d give to be that kid again, engaged in pursuit. So - I will do my best to savor every moment, because one day I will have everything I’ve been working for.

God bless. Get after it.

Another one in the books.

3 full Ironmans in the past 9 months. From my first in Arizona to the pinnacle of the sport here at the World Championship in Nice. 2 years ago I just started training for my first 70.3.

As you continue to push yourself, from dream to dream, challenge to challenge, those dreams will evolve.

What you think* you are capable of will continue to be smashed by what you truly* are capable of.

That is why the Ironman is my race, not because I’m good at it, not because I’m a talented athlete, definitely not because I really like the free backpack and souvenirs, but because it is something I would’ve never fathomed to be a part of my life.

It is so big and absurd and challenging that the sheer fact that I can become even remotely good at it is enough for me to go all in and believe.

Though my performance here at Nice was sub par - I know how much greater I will be come 2026, there is no ceiling on who we can become.

The world is your oyster, don’t be a fucking clam.

Let your bald eagle fly, do not clip your wings.

Just show up, make yourself proud, and get the fuck after it.

The hay is in the barn.

I haven’t touched a full distance Ironman in nearly 14 months, now we are 4 days out from IRONMAN Florida.
It’s taken some time to get over the worries and nervousness for the race, and I’m making my way to that state of bliss, ready to be immersed in the race and all that comes with it.

All of the good stuff from Jones Beach 70.3

Watching the athletes I coached for this race absolutely smash it was a true pleasure, and being able to support the friends I’ve made in the sport on course (and chase them while giving them splits @christopherchristiano ) is always the highlight of these races for me. There is nothing I love more than the triathlon community.

Congrats to my guys @teulertrains and @chris04navarro for smashing their first 70.3’s, and to all my epic friends out there on the course.

Thanks frank for driving me and letting me sleep the whole way home @frankmassajr you’re the goat.

Now its time for me to absolutely smash ironman florida and soar like a bald eagle to my Kona slot🤞

Get after it.

There is no feeling in the world that compares to watching someone you’re so proud of give it there all - and nobody wants it more than @chris04navarro

Chris is a dear friend of mine who I reconnected with when he started running last year. He was out of shape and so new to the sport, Little by little I started coaching him until I fully worked with him for this race. His transformation has been one of the most amazing I’ve witnessed, and it’s all due to his determination, his love for life, and his true and unwavering belief in himself.

Proud is an understatement, and I’m so lucky to have a guy like Chris in my corner who is willing to go so far to get the job done. Congratulations Chris.

10x800 today on 90s rest @ just about 5K pace.

Sunday night I had DEAD legs and they were fiending for some speed work - so the hounds got fed.

5 hours on the bike tomorrow and a not so super Sunday on deck to really cement this build to IM FL.

The plan is simple - come out the water 10 minutes down, ride like hell, say to myself “how the hell am I going to run this marathon?” - then show myself exactly how I’m going to run this marathon.

Go hard or go the fuck home.

16 days out - Get after it.

17 days out @ironmantri Florida. Time to make shit happen.

I’m actually starting to feel like I’m meant for this one.

Looking at the photos above, it reminds me I really do the work, I really do show up, I really do try my best and I really have created the kind of environment I’ve been working towards.

Of course I’m obsessed with how much better I can be, how much better I need to be, where I know I’m weak, but at the end of the day I know in my heart I can put together a great fucking race so that’s what I’m going to do.

A DAY OF TRAINING TRYING TO KONA QUALIFY

This was actually a super solid day. After a weekend of little sleep, lots of travel, and a horrendous workout - this one was much needed.

Now to KEEP HAMMERING AND SHARPEN UP. Coaching myself is hard but it’s also been so amazing knowing what my body needs and how to get there. One a few more sessions to nail before we taper up.

Get afterit.

I had a day trip to Memphis today, and being able to visit @victorybicyclestudio was truly the highlight.

Aside from being able to see such epic bikes (pardon my lack of photos) - the owner Clark and his hospitality really is what made this visit so awesome for me.

Right off the bat this dude was so welcoming. His willingness answer all my questions, tell me a bit of his own story and really just share his genuine passion for the sport is exactly what makes the world go round. I’d imagine it’s a big reason it’s one of the most epic bike shops in the world.

Just like Jason + the team at @highlanderbicycleco - it once again reminded me just how much good hospitality means to me and I’m sure so many others in the sport and I felt the need to share it.

Clark, you’re the man, thanks for your time and the chat. Now back to window shopping for me. by @pattypedalss

The final big weekends are upon us training to go absolutely yard at IRONMAN Florida next month. Sub 9:30:00 is the mission, but I am trying to scrape as close to 9 hours as possible.

This session was a real test for me coming back from this sickness I had but training with friends who push you @tjreisdorf_tri @frankmassajr truly makes it easier as there’s no option but to keep up.

5 hours on the bike into 1 hour run off the bike descending hard from 7:40-> 6:15.

Follow along to see me crush my goal at Ironman Florida
