Cover for the Books Section in the Saturday Guardian. A Family Affair From Naomi Ishiguro to Jess Atwood Gibson, a new generation of children of famous novelists are becoming authors themselves. John Self talks to parents and their literary offspring about the pressures of measuring up. There was a cockup at the printers so the text that was supposed to accompany my illustration was amiss! My illustration just sat there unadorned - quite nice actually. Also, if you scroll through you will see the inspiration I had for the image, courtesy of my son who is now 22. Thanks @howietblow ! Thanks as ever to legend AD @sara_ramsbottom_design #paulblow #nepobabies #books by @paulyblow

First time working with @bottleneckgallery, and I was given the task of illustrating Alfred Hitchcock’s Dial M for Murder, starring Grace Kelly. It’s an incredible film, with one of the best plot twists in cinema. The poster is a seven-colour screen print and was released in two variants (both sadly sold out!). I’m always interested in deconstructing scenes from a film and rebuilding them with my own interpretation. In this piece, the slit in the curtain on the right hints at the danger lurking behind, while Grace Kelly’s character, wearing that iconic dress designed by Moss Mabry, looks on. A big thanks to Joe at BNG. #paulblow #dialmformurder #alfredhitchcock by @paulyblow
Today, we pay homage to the master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock! Our Alfred Hitchcock Artist Series returns with Paul Blow’s alternative movie poster for the classic thriller, Dial M for Murder. Dial M is riveting, taut crime cinema that revolves around adultery and botched murder-for-hire plots, and @paulyblow poster is a thrilling ode to the film, featuring a color palette that highlights specific elements of the room giving them sinister vibes, including Margot’s exquisite dress. Paul’s print will be available on today (9/2) @ 12PM ET on our homepage, Bottleneckgallery.com! by @paulyblow

@paulyblow x @alltrails AllTrails is a popular mobile app and website used to find, plan, and navigate outdoor nature trails. In their latest “Sorry for Interrupting” social media campaign, they partnered with Paul to create a series of tranquil animated landscapes. Combining Paul’s atmospheric illustrations with subtle animation by @andysandwich_ , the aim was to encourage audiences to step away from their social feeds and reconnect with the calming effects of the outdoors. Enjoy!🌲🦅🥾 Read more about the project at www.handsomefrank.com #illustration #animation #landscape #outdoors #hiking by @paulyblow
