Via @nicoleandthedogss In 2026, who plans to foster? I’ve fostered via rescues and in the way I mention in this video, but I exclusively want to foster through organizations next year to help elevate their work online too. Once my current foster dog is in her new home, l’ll take a brief break and have been approved to foster through an incredible senior dog rescue in SoCal. I’ll share more information on them when I pick up my surprise foster. If you have any questions about fostering, please leave them in the comments! Lots of folks here have fostered before and can help answer any questions. If you’re a rescue, feel free to comment if you’re looking for new fosters!!! __ Fosteringsaveslives #adoptdontshop adoptdontshop #fosteringsaveslives animalwelfare #animalwelfare dogsofinstagram #dogsofinstagram fosterparent #fosterparent by @pauseforthesepaws

Via @riseuprescueatl Close your eyes and listen. ⬇️ Listen to the Chaos and constant noise. Now imagine what it’s like to try and sleep in this environment. Imagine what it’s like being forced to hear this 24/7 for months or years - with no option to turn it off. Imagine finally leaving this chaos for 15-30 min when a volunteer takes you to walk & the anxiety & fear you feel when you realize you have to go back in. Imagine how CRAZY you would go hearing this ALL DAY EVERY DAY. No ear plugs. No way out. No peace. Lastly, Imagine how HARD it is to adapt to quiet home after you’ve lived in this chaos for months or even years. This is why they’re traumatized. This is why they need to decompress. This is why they aren’t the perfect dog within the first week of being home. It’s why many came in dog friendly, but prefer to live in a home without dogs —- they lived with 400+ of them for months. When you adopt, you’re bringing home a dog that was imprisoned for being a victim. Victims of backyard breeding, animal cruelty, homelessness, abandonment and being surrendered by their owners they loved and trusted for their entire lives. Give them grace. Be patient with them. know that the dog you see the first few weeks, isn’t who they will be in 3 months. They have lived in fight or flight in order to survive and are adjusting to peace and love. When you adopt, you save lives and give them the peace and serenity they deserve, but haven’t had. Remember this when you go to get your new puppy from a breeder. Remember who you’re overlooking and pushing aside. A new dog/puppy will require patience and work- no matter where they come from. So you might as well save a life in the process 🩷 Almost 100 dogs need saving from this chaos by tomorrow night at 7pm. Please see @rescueme_atl’s page to see their faces. #fyp #foryou #dog #shelterdog #help #teamwork #misspeaches #adoptdontshop #adoption #viral #foster #adoptme #hopecore #sos #animalrescue #hope #atlantageorgia #saveme #kindessmatters #bekind #explorepage by @pauseforthesepaws
Val is the total package—young, loving, and ready to be someone’s best friend 💛 🚨 🚨 VAL IS NOW ON THE EUTHANIZED LIST 🚨 🚨 She’s a 1-year-old, 47 lb American Pit Bull Terrier mix with amazing manners. Val knows “sit” and “down,” walks beautifully on leash, takes treats gently, and truly enjoys just sitting beside her person. She’s dog-friendly, loves to play, and shines in the off-leash area. Volunteers describe her as soft, sweet, and an A+ dog. Despite all of this, Val is still waiting… and dogs like her often get overlooked. Black and darker-colored dogs statistically take longer to be adopted, even when they have the best personalities. Val has been at the shelter since February, quietly hoping someone will finally see her for who she is—a loyal, loving companion. 📍 Kennel 855 🆔 Animal ID: 17124 She’s ready to go home. Come meet Val and give her the chance she deserves 🐾 #AdoptDontShop #RescueDog #ShelterDog #savealife #blackdogs by @pauseforthesepaws

Both must be the only dog in the home. PLEASE SHARE THEM! PLEDGES NEEDED! #adoptdontshop #savethispup #euthlisted by @pauseforthesepaws
Bambi id number 115938 is located at Gwinnett Animal Services in Lawrenceville, Ga. She’s 3 years old, 52 pounds, and arrived on March 19 after being found as a stray in the Snellville area. From the start, she’s been friendly, affectionate, and convinced she is meant to be someone’s personal assistant. She knows “sit,” she loves attention, and her goal is to bond with every person she meets. Bambi is having a hard time in the kennels, but her light turns on outside them. Due to her kennel stress she is recommended to be an only dog at this time. She is looked for an experienced handler that understands when she is overstimulated & knows to give her decompression time to settle into a new life. Bambi doesn’t have much time. Dogs with kennel stress can be killed without warning. Please give Bambi a chance. Can you help Bambi? Reach out to the shelter. Contacts below. Be sure to include her id, name, & urgent in the subject line. Rex is now the longest resident at the shelter. They are currently euthanizing. He can be killed without warning just because he has been there longest. His id number is 114514. He is located at Gwinnett Animal Shelter in Lawrenceville, Ga. He is not on the adoption floor. They moved him off the adoption floor. You have to ask for him. Please ask for him. Pig is safe🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 He still needs a more permanent foster though. The shelter now claims he never had pneumonia. He just had a URI. Pig is good with calm dogs. She is not good with high energy. Let us know if you can help. If you made a pledge, we will provide the rescue information shortly. We had a lot of dogs die this week. Thank you to everyone that shared🩷 #dogs #rescue #rescuedog #adoptdontshop❤️ by @pauseforthesepaws
Hi! Can you chip in a fiver? 💵 We simply cannot save shelter animals without our community’s Rescue Organizations and a few select partners. Not yet familiar with a lifesaving Rescue Org to send a treat to? We got you! Below, in no particular order, are just a few who have very recently saved some furry faces that probably graced your screen in recent weeks! They need our partnership to keep on keeping on! ⭐️ Poor Paws Rescue | @poorpawsrescue ⭐️ Dirt Road Doggies Rescue | @dirtroaddoggiesrescue ⭐️ Blake’s Buddies Rescue Network | @blakesbuddies501c3 ⭐️ The Mercyfull Project | @mercyfullproject ⭐️ My special nod to one of the women who initially raised my awareness of animal welfare and the multitude of ways we can help the animals, be it from within the walls of a shelter or the walls of our own homes. If you have money or minutes, both can be utilized to save lives. We all know her as @rescueme_atl. She is a facilitator (my term for her) - not a rescue org - and she and her team (501c3 reg) are the go-between for MANY pups and their forever homes. Your donation helps them cover emergency medical costs, transport, foster support, and keeping families together. ⭐️ South Georgia Equine Rescue 🐎 | @southgeorgiaequine & equineremedy.com We are continuing to highlight SGER here due to the drastic changes they’ve endured due to the recent devastating Georgia wildfires. All of the horses and dogs were moved to safety 🙌 but food and provisions for them must be replenished. Please fwd this plea to your horse loving friends! 🐴 Please click over to their bios to learn a bit more and find their donation links! We are highlighting a few org’s each week in an effort to educate the public, help Rescues gain even more exposure and drum up financial support for all the animals they’re caring for across their foster home networks. Thank you for helping to support these lifesavers! 🏷️ Rescued | Rescue Dog | Rescue Cat | Rescue Org | $5Friday | Community Matters | Georgia Wildfires #rescuedismyfavoritebreed #rescuedog #rescuecat #rescueorg #FiveDollarFriday #catlovers #doglovers #community #communitymatt by @pauseforthesepaws
