You don’t have to own stocks to care about this. 🇮🇩

MSCI is considering moving Indonesia from EMERGING to STANDALONE—outside both its emerging and frontier market indexes.

It’s still a proposal, not a final downgrade. But the stakes go beyond saham: investor confidence, the rupiah, and companies’ access to funding.

What do you think Indonesia needs to fix first to rebuild investor trust? 👇

Weekdays: corporate girlie 👩🏻‍💻
Weekends: content creator 🎬

Between research, scripts, filming and editing… I realised I spend most of my week in air-conditioned rooms 😂

Still figuring out the balance, but making time for little moments of self-care—with Noroid keeping my skin moisturised through it all 🤍

Anyone else clocking out of one job and straight into their passion project or side hustle ? ✨

A 12% return in rupiah doesn’t always mean 12% in US dollars 💸 If the rupiah weakens, you get fewer dollars when converting back. Then tax takes its share too 🥲

For context, the rupiah has lost around 20% of its value against the dollar over the past five years.

So “double-digit returns in USD, after tax” is a bigger ask than it sounds. The investment is working hard… but the exchange rate needs to cooperate too 😂
