I’ve never been one to follow trends, and I hope my daughter never feels she has to either.

Everyone seems to be heading to Mallorca or Ibiza because that’s where celebrities go. Meanwhile, I’ve fallen in love with this hidden gem called Menorca, crystal clear turquoise waters, incredible beaches, peace, and countless things to do.

Some of us weren’t born to be followers. We were born to be different. And while being different often means not fitting in, I’ve learned to love that about myself. I hope my daughter grows up with that same courage.

I love the finer things in life, but they are no longer essential to me. I’ve worked hard for them, yet they never truly came. Maybe they were never meant for me.

I’ve applied for jobs—even the simplest ones—and never heard back. I’ve looked for opportunities with people I once helped, only to have many of them turn their backs on me.

I’ve learned the lessons I needed to learn. There won’t be any more second chances. Not because I hold grudges, but because life doesn’t give us second chances to enjoy moments like these with the people we love.

So from now on, I’m letting go of the people who don’t add value to my life and protecting my energy for the only thing that truly matters: my little family. 🤍 taken in Cala Turqueta by @cartersarabia

Sometimes it’s impossible to keep little girls away from makeup.
